I kinda like bland and boring for everyday, though.

How was the color payoff and texture? Especially of the gloss, it sounds like it is a new formula??

Prive was a nice texture and quite opaque, the color just happened to be the excat shade of my lips. Therefore, I couldnt tell I was wearing any lipstick

The lipgloss texture was nice, not sticky but not like a cremesheen, but it was totally clear!

I'm glad i'm skipping too!! I think I'll invest that money in some large pgs, in view of the possible changes in price and size for next year!!

It's good for my wallet though.

Good to know. I know this is supposed to be their "upscale" collection, but I can't keep up with Estee Lauder company's price increases - if they're increasing the price without increasing the quality, forgot it! I got a sheer mystery powder from the Stylistics (2007), and even back then it was a splurge for me. When I saw what they'd raised their prices to this year, I was shocked. I'd rather save my money for Paul & Joe and Shu Uemura.

They are not worth it in my opinion, the colors are Meh

The lipstick and gloss are def not woth $22 each! The are very bland and boring!

I'm glad someone agrees with me.

Does MAC refund you for the returned products?

Yeah I went to the counter with my friend that day, and when I was swatching the lipglosses my friend commented that it looked so colorless on my hand.

I will still get MAC even if there's a price hike, but I'll just have to be more selective with the items I purchase.

I seriously LOVE Treasured lipstick. The baroque Im not much a fan of, and the pink one is ok. But Treasured is my fave, and we sold out a few days ago of it

Here in Mexico, MAC doesn't accept any kind of changes in items purchased or returns. I hate it!!! As soon as you pay you get a receipt with the legend: "changes, returns or refunds on this merchandise are not accepted" Can you believe it??? Even at Chanel I get refunds for any item I dislike... I really pisses me off!!!

I thought Singapore was bad!! we can only exchange unused stuff in original packaging within a certain period (7 or 14 days) with the receipt.

That's so unfair!! You should come to the US and they'll let you refund your money and/or exchange your items that you don't want.

Yep, I should!!! Unfortunately, my US visa expired under Bush period and you don't know what a nightmare is to get a visa, even for high class it is. But sooner or later I'll have to deal with it. Any way, as said above, you US girls are so lucky!!

i've heard it's not easy getting visa's.... although aren't certian jobs and things a guarantee that you get one? like oddly being able to tune a piano... unless i'm confused!

I got my items Tuesday morning and tested them but have just been too sick since then to try them again so that I can review it here
ssad.gif
But I'll say what I thought and try them again later.

Now it could be just me, but I found Prive to be reminiscent of those brighter (not fuchsia) pink Barbie-like lipsticks (FYI: I don't own any), only it seemed like it was toned down just to suit me. So I realllly really like it! The 'type' of pink I never thought I could wear, but this one is subtle enough and looks great. I hope I made sense :/

Preciousness, as I expected, I do like. It has enough of a purplish shimmer to show that it does have colour.

The Lap of Luxury however, is pretty sheer
ssad.gif
I love how it looks in the tube lol and part of me wants to keep it, the other part says to return it. Edit: I just tried it again and the colour is noticeable, as I'm applying it, I can see the difference from my bare lip. However, when I looked away and looked back at it - it wasn't quite noticeable anymore, except the sparkles.

Also, I decided not to get the compact but something is telling me I may regret it
ssad.gif
I am hoping to find it one day, of course cheaper than $72! I don't have a CCO so my only options are ebay (already there for $100!) and the clearance bin. I would even love the compact once the powder is finished!! But then I wonder, who would want to sell that beauty? lol. Not sure what to do! I don't have money to waste yet I been doing so on MAC
ssad.gif
which isn't a "waste" to us, but you know
tong.gif
I been pretty selective with my final purchases for each collection.
