MAC - Baroque Boudoir Discussion

I'm debating either I should skip this collection completely or just wait for the raves and reviews of them. I'm not quite sure yet. Even though I only got Identity l/g from Monogram Collection last year and that was the only thing that I got.

I have $40 in Nordstrom notes, so I might pick up a thing or 2 from this but I'm not sure, I need to see more photos or somehow manage to get to a Nordies and check it out in person. That's the crappy thing is that my Nordstrom notes expire after some time so I'll have to see if I can get by till the Dec 26th collections hit and save them for those if nothing still strikes me. So far I'm thinking I will skip this after all.

i saw some of the testers today, and maybe its just me, but i swear D'Nouveau l/g looks and feels the same as Algorithm from the 3D collection (in 2007 i think). maybe its just me?

when i actually get it i can do a comparison

I have been trying to NOT buy any more makeup, but this is quite tempting! I have "prive," "treasured" and "lap of luxury" (and a dazzleglass in "amorous") in my cart.

Yesterday, I visited the counter where I usually go... and asked to put something away, because I can't go on the release day.

*the mystery powder in medium plus (that will be my first one)
*the 3 lipglosses
*and 2 lipsticks only the light one, because I don't know about the dark plum

I ordered Prive - of course I did

& D'nouceau lg. I still really want the other 2 glosses because they look sooooo pretty in the tubes! But, like everyone else, I feel like I already have those colors x ????

But, I still may want Lap of Luxury l/g & BB l/s. I'll wait until we hear more about the colors from those that get them.

I think I've officially decided I'm skipping this collection and waiting for Love Lace and Warm & Cozy.

I love the look of the packaging but I have to try and save some money.

I love the packaging, but the colors don't really do anything for me. Prive looks lovely as do the Lap of Luxury and Preciousness glosses, but they also look similar to stuff I already have. I'm still going to check them out, but overall I think I'm going to skip this collection. I want to save money for some of the other upcoming ones and plus I have to have money to buy Christmas presents.

Freestanding stores will have this collection. It's just that Macy's will not have this collection. Also, some Nordstrom stores will have this collection so I would call your local Nordstrom store if they have this collection in stock.

How funny, I was just looking at the MAC website last night thinking it feels like it's been so long since a new collection has been out.

Just two items on my list: Prive and Treasured lipsticks.
