MzRach I totally feel you about not being excited by anything lately.

I was unsure about posting in here cos everyone seems to know eachother and it's all ongoing convos, ect... but I was excited about my new BBR stuff, so I told myself nah, it'll be cool, and posted about my (albeit small) purchase from BBR... and nothing. I guess I know better now - if you don't know anyone, don't bother posting.

Please don't ever feel that way! The only reason that we all know each other so well is just from years of being on Specktra.

It doesn't matter how big or small your purchase was we are excited about them all. I am sorry that you feel like not posting. The best way to get to know people is to post.

Part of it may indeed be a wintry bluesy thing, but honestly I think I am experiencing a sea change when it comes to my attitude with cosmetics. It's like, enough already. I. Have. So. Much. Stuff. And it will all go bad before I could possible use it all. What the hell am I doing even considering buying more? No, no, no.

So I will continue to love on the collections and on all of you of course, but just not jumping on the buying bandwagon too much for the foreseeable future......

Moxy - I know y'all aren't shallow. I just don't feel I have a lot to contribute these days.

But I won't dissappear.

OMG...

...that's exactly how I've been feeling these past few months. I never went away from Specktra...just felt I couldn't contribute for some silly reason or another.

When I went to Vegas last month and had to consolidate my Train cases I was scared - really really scared that I had so much makeup.

I wondered silly things like will I live long enough to wear it all? It's the same way with my Fashion Doll collecting - you feel like you have too much waying you down - it's almost a burden.

It's also really fun to know you have a, really, cool collection of anything, though, even if you didn't add another thing to it...it's yours! Hee! hee! hee!

I liken it to my Holy box of "Crayola Crayons" from when I was a kid and, of course my Barbie Dolls as my most prized possessions. The dynamic hasn't changed all that much as an adult.

It's always good to, simply, slow down, take a deep breath, and simply enjoy the present and all that you have within the present and that, especially, includes all things non-material.

You know I am always emailing you for your opinions on stuff..so your thoughts and contributions are very important to me....whether you are buying new collections or not! I am on a MAC buying restriction myself so I am right there with you...but I love hearing what others are doing and how they feel about the collections....It's like going to a bar if you are a alcoholic...and just having a coke...Not much fun but the company is good!

Ahhh...therein lies the danger with this particular collection. LionQueen - unless you provide us with absolute scientific data published by NASA that will prove that we won't all look like Glittery Troll Dolls wearing this BBR stuff...well...we may not be completely thinking straight and being more gracious to what all our little pieces of the answer is even when it's staring right in front of us.

Truth is even with your small list of purchases as you stated you bought that's more than some of us got here!

I started looking at the collections when I found the site on MySpace, I am very vocal when it comes to writing and when I found that MySpace had make up groups I dove in full force. I guess I did that in the wrong group because there was a lot of drama that ensued so I was hestitant in jumping in here, but as I saw the threads monitored and done with respect and no bias, I finally joined without feeling guarded.

The name that always stuck out was Rbella because she had me rolling constantly which is what I needed. This spring a number of things set in motion a depression that kept me inside mostly in bed and away from the functioning world. I lived through the lovely ladies on Specktra and it helped me tremendously, so for that I owe a debt of gratitude.

And for the lovely Mz. Rach, we need you as much as you need us now<3

It has been a frustrating and very hard year but we are no fair weather friends!

I hope this clears up why I have such an attachment and fondness for the regular girlies that make this site so endearing.

As gorgeous as the BBR collection is --- I decided I'm not going to buy ANY limited edition MAC products. It would be too crappy to find the perfect shade only to have it ripped from my joyous bosom forever. I have so much fun going to the stores and swatching myself, though

And I really thought it through and I would only be buying something like the HK collection for the packaging, and buying makeup, which you put on your face meaning it comes out of the packaging, doesn't make sense for my someone in my current economic situation. Even though I've been a major Hello Kitty fan for over 20 years, which makes this collection particularly hard to pass up! But yeah. My resolve is steely.
