I am liking Flavor, Rozz, and Hoop out of the lippies. Fiction and Butterscotch for the eyeshadows...I think those will get my votes.

They should definitely post a poll or something and have facebook fans submit requests. Then the top 10 or whatever gets voted on.

I have no clue how they pick the colors. I am just happy my favoritest color ever made the cut.
I think the problem with having customers submit requests is that most customers don't have favorites from pre-90s or even early to mid-90's Last year I was unfamiliar with most of the colors. They were all so recent and not on my radar to be honest. I mean people are asking upthread for Heroine. It was just re-released this year was it not? I realize people like it a lot, and with good reason, not dogging the heroine at all but for me being given the choice of something that was available in March vs something that was pulled from shelves 15 yrs ago I will take the harder to find 15 yr old color.
Yes there were more interesting and edgy colors released 20 yrs ago but sometimes make-up isn't about being edgy. I know what looks good on me doesn't look good on everybody and am sorry people are disappointed in color selection. I do think my Glam will work on many people because I am fairly neutral and tho I am relatively pale now {NW15} I used to spend a freaking half hour or more in the darned tanning bed every single day plus spend my days lazing in the sunshine when I was wearing that color. Just call me ex-tanning bed mom

I thought the same thing. Even the nicest shades don't look terribly unique to me. Pink Poodle lipstick is about the only one that stands out. I remember Fiction being quite original at the time, but it seems like there are so many brown/ bronze/ olive shades now that it doesn't stand out as much. Still probably the most unique of the shadows. Would have loved to have seen a purple in among the lipsticks, but it seems like there are more universal/ wearable colours that could have made the cut more easily. It seems like they made choices of items to bring back based largely on the sorts of products they're promoting in new collections- bright matte lipsticks, low-shimmer neutral shadows. It's weird, but I feel like all these colours work too well as a "collection" rather than reflecting the diversity of which Mac is capable.

The lipsticks look pretty good to me, but none of the eyeshadows are really doing anything for me.

That is so true! And let's face it, this kind of collection depends on mac fanatics to buy the shades, so I don't understand why they didn't come out with some frenzy worthy colours.

They need to do a BR collection of lip pencils. 2 that I think should be included would be BBQ and Grape.

Okay, how about this idea. Since we all know that Heroine and the gang would be the most requested, go ahead a make those perm. Next, how about setting a boundary like 1990-2011 or something. Then, select..I don't know..6 color families: orange, pink, purple, nude, etc. and let people submit requests for each color. Or better yet, by finish. Finally let everyone vote!

That would be awesome. Based on color families the potential to get something we want most would way more likely to happen.
