MAC Casual Colour Collection (Sept. 4, 2014)

the original batch I liked better on the lips than on the cheeks, because they never really felt like they'd dry down enough on the cheeks for my taste.  the ones from playland felt like the opposite, better on the cheeks but a little weird on the lips.  I prefer cremeblend blushes, but you do get a pretty cool look using the same casual color on lips and cheeks for a monochromatic effect.
Thank you! I will only use them for my lips so I hope they've sticked to the formula of the original batch.

My guess is they'll be somewhere in the middle between old and new, because the pigments that get used can alter how the product works and I was under the impression that quite a few are going to be colors repromoted from the first collection.

I have been making it a point to use the ones I have more, but I didn't buy any of the Playland ones and will hold off on any more of them for now. Have a Lovely Day and Relaxation are both really quite nice, though, plus Evening Stroll!

I have not experienced any non-drying with CCs. I think my skin absorbs anything though (even after serum/oil/moisturizer/primer/BB I put on my face before makeup). I use them on cheeks only.

As for Cremeblend blushes, I got some of the very first renewed ones, and I feel that their texture was different from the texture of those renewed perm ones that came out later. The first ones feel kind of "waxier".

I've never tried one of these before. I'm liking the looks of Have A Lovely Day, Keep It Loose, Lazy Sunday, Relaxation, Weekend Getaway. How does everyone apply these? I'd probably wear them more as a cheek color than a lip color. Maybe I should just try a cream blush instead. How do the formulas compare?

I haven't tried them either, I think my counter still has some of the ones from Playland laying around but I skipped that collection so I don't know how good or bad they may be. I'm kinda wanting Evening Stroll because I'm such a purple heaux, but not sure if I'll grab any of these yet.

I got a few casual colors from the original collection; I love them for an easy look on those have to run out the door in 30 seconds kinds of days. I wonder what their shelf life is, though- mine still have the same scent and texture, but I always wonder with cream products.

The CCs have no expiration date. But as with any product, you always want to go by smell, taste, colour and texture to determine if a product is passed its prime.
