MAC - Cham Pale Discussion

Finally had time to run and get my Champale goodies yesterday. Since we haven't been getting much in the way of swatches PRIOR to the collections coming out I had my counter hold a pretty big preorder for me based on the color descriptions. You would think I would know better by now, wouldn't you? LOL

Original list:
All pps
All lip gelees
Both n/p
Both powders
IGNK

What I came home with:

Sintillation
Bubble Lounge x2 (Thanks of course to the master enabler Ms. Elegant One!)

I have MUFE #23L pencil so I was able to skip IGNK. I like the wear of the MUFE one better anyway. IMHO the pps and powders were totally skippable as well as the polishes. I like the quad but am sure I can dupe it with something I already have (right now I have about 8 15 pan palettes full of shadows so there must be something, right?)

I missed you too! I have been amusing myself this morning with posts by you and Her Greyness on the bubble lounge and the hot pants. LOL

Sintillation is a pinker version of RL in my opinion. Very pretty, low on color, high on sparkle. I like to wear it over my pinks.
I never would have thought of BL but I read your posts and decided to try it on when I picked my things up. It is so pretty. So far I have only used it over Pink Treat liner but it is gorgeous. I snagged the last 2 from my counter.

I didn't pick up Play It Proper because they were sold out at my counter. I worry about too much shimmer on my 45 year old face. Do you like it? How are you using it?

Last night I did a sexy eye look with Undercurrent as a base on lid and under the eye, the green part of She Who Dares applied wet over the Undercurrent and up into the crease and Dangerous Cuvee applied sheerly as a highlight (Feline in waterline and Haut & Naughty Lash mascara).

I went dancing and didn't have any fallout - I've also worn DC on its own with no fallout - but i never use it with a primer or other base - maybe that's the key?

Also, I always apply it (and Chilled On Ice, which I also love) with a 239. Seems like a softer brush would be a serious fail and a stiffer brush would slap too much on.

I love her. We old ladies were having a good time. Happy to make ya laugh.

For me, PiP had that very finely milled powder with just a light pearl - so soft. My favorite way to wear it - without any foundation,. A very light dusting over my cheekbones & slightly under my eyes. Its made my skin looks flawless & healthy & just slightly dewy & soft but not dewy in a bad way. I can't do any of those other shimmer highlights or powders - yep at our age that is just a

I think you talked me into Sintillation as it has been sitting in my cart for 2 days

well -- upon consideration, and upon ms. elegant's advise, I used my finger to apply DC.

I hate it still.. glitter glitter glitter -- and this is the kind that gets into my hair and boobs when I wash it off too. No good.

however I am glad that some of you have found a good way to work around it and use it.. I actually tried Grafitto paint on one eye and that stayed on and shimmery even after I went into the pool.

I ended up at Macy's today. One of the smaller ones near me. Well lo and behold, they had Bubble Lounge and Soiree nailpolish. I was worried about my Nordies order so I bought them. Well I just looked at my account and it looks like it did ship. So I guess I'll have two now. I really want to try Soiree but I just did my nails.

So true. All of the paintpots for me were a creasy, splotchy mess. I am a glitterphobe to boot and the glitter flakiness of them actually made my stomach hurt. After all this time lemming them and it turned out to be that. It cut me to the eyebone.

Yes, Ill be exchanging it for a peacocky eye-shadow. Losing my paintpot virginity wasn't as good as I expected it to be.

^well lucky you! I hope you end up really liking it. Nordies did a search for me - none anywhere
I've already said it before - Spree Lipglass is just about the same shade as Bubble Lounge, except instead of the large colored glitter bits you get in the lipgeles, you have a smooth dense white micro-shimmer. I actually prefer Spree - I find it sexier, more versatile and a newer look. I'm already through half of mine and need to back it up.

Sin-Tillation, on the other hand, I did like in the lipgele formula. All those white and pink glitter chips were a better match for the softer colored base, not just color-wise, but the color is girlier, so the girly texture logically works as part of it - the more sophisticated color in BL deserves a more sophisticated texture - hence, Spree

For some reason, I do not even remember Spree!

I have/like Moonstone too. Similar in these color ranges.
