hmmm...you'll have to try em out. not sure how they'll look on darker skin, seeing as how i only swatched em on my paper. i didn't get a chance to see em on the darker girls at update, but i'd say keep an eye on plum de bois. in person (on paper), its gorgeous (so is blooming of course!)

There was a circle next to Sweet Chestnut...is this just a typo, or should we be expecting its release into the permanent catalogue anytime soon?

circle = repromote
square = new shade, permanent
triangle = new shade, LE
star = repromote, LE
diamond = new shade, LE at counters, permanent at stores
star in circle = new shade, LE at stores and counters, permanent at PRO
ring = not for eyes
plus sign = not for lips

SMMY, is that Velvet Plum the same Bobbi Brown Velvet Plum that's now available as an individual shadow?

Erine, I can't find the post now but I remember someone posting that Smudged Violet looked more grey than they'd imagined it would. How does it compare to Shale?

Thanks for the explanation.
So...(I'm just speculating here) if a circle means that it's a repromote, then what collection is Sweet Chestnut being repromoted from? Or is it a permanent shade that was discontinued a long time ago?

So I saw swatches from this collection on livejournal. I rearranged my wishlist. Definates are Lightly Ripe l/s (B2M) and Cherry Blossom l/g. And I am afraid I am going to need that pinkish blush. I am trying to resist, but after seeing the swatch, I can't. Skipping the Shadowy Lady Quad though, so that's good news for my wallet

I'm not seeing the swatches either. Tell us about the Shadowy Lady quad...I would love an excuse to save some $ at the moment.

Well, we all know what Deep Truth and Shadowy Lady look like. The girl that posted the swatches is very fair (I'd say NW/NC 15-20 at most) and the highlight shade didn't show up on her AT ALL. Smudge Violet is the shade I was most looking forward to, and it looks totally like a Lustre like Erine mentioned before. The color is ok, but it looks chunky and it didn't swatch very nicely. It almost swatched the same as a chunky pigment would. I'd say it is a light to midtone greyed purple. If it were a single shadow, I may have considered it, but since I already have 2 of the shades in the quad, and the highlighter I can live without, I am going to pass. It's silly for me to spend $36 for one shadow.

EDIT: Thanks to Ven0m from Livejournal!

Yeah, seeing the new swatches on someone with almost EXACTLY my skin tone (freckles and all!) I have to say I think I'm passing over this collection all together now.

I was going to get the Spiced Chocolate and maybe the Tempting Quad but comparing the colors to what I have already and even some of the new Overrich pigments I would say it would be overkill for me. I'd rather get more of the pigments right now and save that $72 dollars for those. =/

Same here, but I am definitely spending $36 for the Tempting quad just to get Sharp! lol! That color looked so hot in her swatched & when I asked she said the color payoff was great. I love it

& the only other color I have in the quad is Tempting so I think its worth it.

It didn't take much to convince me, I just needed to hear "good color payoff" & I was sucked in.

after seeing swatches of the blush my list has gotten smaller *whew* I was thinking of getting plum du bois but I think I like my X-rocks better (a nice plummy shade). Now that that's out of the way, I think I want more blushes from either NARS or from Sonic Chic.
