MAC - Digi Pops Discussion

^ I was thinking the same thing about how fast they're selling. When I went back to the Bay to get Hellraiser and Snazzy, there were a lot of people there (as there had been the week before) and both of the MAC counters were sold out of a couple of items already. And I'm saying this about counters that had "So This Season" from last year's f/w collection up until a month ago. These are normally not terrifically high turnover locales. (They are great places to find things you thought you'd missed, but that's another thread.)

Blagh! I wiped off Baby's On Fire to eat lunch, then went to put on some Hi-Falutin afterwards and my face is sparkly. @.@

I ended up getting Sweet Bits and Win-Win and Fabulous Fun D/G...I am in love with sparkly stuff and I think that these lippies will last forever because you don't need to use that much to get some serious glitter on your lips! The Nordstrom I went to was packed today and the poor MAs were all over the place! But my friend and I both walked out happy campers with our sparkly stuffs!

I was going to order Boys Go Crazy d/g but it's sold out. I do want to hit up my Nordstrom's to see if they have it in stock tomorrow.

I got to the Nordies by my job at 6:30pm, looked through the Digi display and felt like it was snowing glitter. I was in a rush because I had other shopping to do so I bought my must haves from this collection -- Hot Sass, Utterly Posh and Baby's on Fire. None of the other products moved me so I passed on them.

I get home around 7:30pm and I take pics of my haul for my blog and then I try on my products. Too much glitter in Hot Sass for me...very chunky - huge turn off. I was so disappointed because I am madly into oranges this summer, but it's clunky. I wipe it off and then realize there is glitter around my mouth and I can't get it off. LOL. Reminds me of those Superglasses I returned some time ago.

I then put on Utterly Posh and same issue, too clunky with glitter. It just didn't go on smooth enough for me. Heavy like. I wipe that off and more glitter on around my mouth.

I put on Baby's on Fire and the glitter in it is not clunky at all and it goes on smooooooth. Such a pretty color! I will rock it in the Fall for sure. Love it!

8:30pm I'm at the Nordies by my house returning Utterly Posh and Hot Sass.

I just knew I was going to love those two from Temptalia's swatches, but it didn't work out for me. Just too much clunky glitter, not attractive on me.

At least I was able to get one Dazzle lipstick into my collection. I'm happy anyway.

Oh and the glitter in the dazzleglass were big like the ones in the Superglasses...am I wrong? Utterly Posh did not look and feel like my She-zam or Kitty Kouture.

Finally got to try on Boys Go Crazy for real. Overall, I think this is one of those colors anyone can wear. It applies a bit more shear than I'd hoped, but because it does, I can wear it alone year round and not look goth. Or I can layer it over something dark for some punch. It's similar to Date Night, but a cooler shade of purple. Also a hair cooler toned than Fab Frenzy Superglass (and smaller glitter of course).

The sparkle is just gorgeous and will look fantastic layered over other colors. GET!

I agree about Superglasses, I love them. They don't seem that glittery to me either and they work really well on top of lipsticks, make them last twice as long on my lips!

Sorry, but I've never tried Euro Beat.

I'm wearing it over Gaga now and it warms up the base just enough to make it a bit more wearable. But the trick is to either blot Gaga or wear it down a bit first, otherwise putting Hi-Falutin over it is a bit much. It's funny, cause had I seen this in the store without online swatches, I probably would never have picked it up. I'm really glad I did though.

I went to Nordstrom's Thursday and I wanted to buy Hot Sass and decided to take the plunge on Liquid Lurex. It seemed like everything was all good and then she said "we're doing a pre sale and you have to open a Nordstrom's account and pick these up tomorrow". Excuse you? I can't tell you how much I wanted to go off. All calm on the outside, but I turned into a demon on the inside. Such a money making ploy. I said nevermind and she asked if I would come back for them tomorrow. I said no, "I don't have time for games. I'll be back some other time or maybe not at all" and I left.

What?!?!

You should have definitely spoken to a manager because that is just ridiculous! And so unlike Nordstrom. I do know that they are required to open a certain number of CC accounts each month (and they do receive a very nominal "commission"), so maybe that's her way of trying to make extra sale/money. Either way, it's total crap, and if the store doesn't cooperate, I would contact corporate.

Girl, I would have spoken to the manager about that. She had no right to tell you that you need to open a Nordstrom account to purchase Digi Pops collection. If you can get corporate's number, I would call them and tell them about the issue.

The thing about it is that she was over in the Mac section, but didn't work for Mac. I think they needed extra help b/c there were a few customers roaming around. There was an actual "Mac person" there and he told her she had to do that.

I was just too through. I never cared for Nordstroms anyway and that did not help the case. I wish Bloomingdales had this collection.

^Oh I see. The last time I went to Nordstrom was last year in January. I do want to go back there one day again since it's amazing! I too wish that Bloomindale's did have this collection. I'm a bit bummed that I didn't order Boys Go Crazy d/g.
