I do rather like the colors of these shadows. A cake liner that can be used dry sounds kind of ???? Could actually be kind of good, since it'd be easy to have lots of control with something like that. I'm not fully sold yet, though.
MAC already has a cake liner that can already be used dry as well as wet. As a matter of fact, i believe all cake liners can be used dry.

back in the stone age, cake liners were so darn dry, you were supposed to wet them. we're talking 1970's, which was the last time I bothered to use them.

Yeah i know both mac and ben nye both have one and both are labeled as usable wet or dry. My friend just gave me the mac one in a trade but i haven't used it yet.

Ah ok!! Thanks!! They don't have those on the Spanish site and I'd never heard of them! So they're liners that can be used wet or dry? Strange! The cake part was confusing me! (Cakes...yummy!)

The glittery tubes are indeed eye liners :)

Hope they are not like the Hello Kitty ones! I'm interested only if they have warm shades, but better skip.

They are like e/s 'cakes' basicly. I don't think there was much else in the 70's. Everybody seemed to have them. And cake mascaras!

Now I remember I have this Guerlain palette with two e/s and a 'cake liner' like product.

Cake mascara had its good points back in the day, because it was less likely to give me raccoon eyes than the softer formulas in a tube did then. Also, you could use a little flat brush with them to comb the product through the lashes and I always liked that type of application better than some of the rounded wands - gave me a lot of control. You obviously don't get a lot of separation using a little flat brush, but I never needed that that much. I still have an old flat mascara brush and use it after applying mascara when I want a really soft, pretty look. Some of the newer formulas don't play well with it, though, so yep….TECHNOLOGY!

I skipped this brush because i had the nars its brush but i realized i dont use it with cream products. So now i need this brush to use it with either my pro sculpting cream or my tom ford shade and illuminate. *le sigh* ill probably keep it in my bag to get with the riri collection

Really?? Ive been scared to. Does it shed and easy to clean after using cream? If yes then screw this mac brush i dont need it lol
No surprisingly it didn't shed. I was kind of scared to wash it because of how it's made but it was easy to clean. I've only washed it once though. I only washed it after using the cream. I used it with the MAC Richly Honed Pro Sculpting Cream, Sleek Contour Kit and a loose pigment. Today was the first day I tried it with a loose pigment. You have to make sure to tap off ALL the excess because the bristles holds onto loose powders really, really well and will end up applying way too much.

Not sure if this was posted earlier, but T just tweeted some basic deets on a Spring 2014 Mac- Proenza Schouler collboration:

I can see this being a good match for them, but what really jumped out at me was the mention of "ombre face powders". Blush Ombres? Or something new?
