. I just want to return something at Macy's and saw these really awesome earrings from Betsy Johnson.

I am most interested in the Palace Pedigreed sub-collection. From that I am considering the eyeshadow quad (would be my first ever purchased quad in that format, I do have one from Hello Kitty), the blush, the lip liner, and from one of the other collections, the black liquid eye liner. I had wanted Of Royalty lipstick, but am going to hold off until I see some comparison swatches to the million other blue pinks I have. I'm thinking about trying one of the dark berry lipsticks like Kittenish. Otherwise I probably wont give thought to much else until I see it in person.
the question on my mind is will any fall collection match up to cult of cherry? because i honestly don't think one will! felines is lovely... but the quads are nowhere near as nice as coc and neither are the lip products. agian i think this collection is great... just not as great as coc!

I was hoping someone could give a review on the blushes in this collection. It seems as if almost everyone is skipping them. It kind of worries me since I have to do all my mac shopping online. I hate to order something and hate it because it really isn't worth it to ship back. So ladies what are your opinion on the blushes? Are there dupes? I am especially interested in Utterly Game. I would really appreciate it.

I'm *so* sorry if anyone has asked this before... but does anyone know for sure if the superslick liners are permanent? ^^;;
As for FF, I seriously thought I wasn't going to end up buying too much... but my list just proved me wrong. xD

I went to my kiosk yesterday and got a sneaky peek at FF! Here's what I remember:
Kittenish was my favourite of the dark lipsticks. Cunning and The Prowl applied on the sheer side and were a little streaky. The frost lipsticks are frosty by definition, of course, but these seemed SO much more frosty than normal, IDEK. Aristo-Cat is getting into 1986 mall girl lips territory.
The gold and silver liners are AMAZING. The gold one was slightly more opaque, but both are gorgeous and absolutely un-smudgeable.
I think if you're going to skip a palette, skip Burmese Beauty. The matte shadow was a hard swatcher and the others seemed like they've all got dupes somewhere.

That said, FF is pretty awesome. It's got more diversity than many collections, with light and dark, warm and cool. I think this is going to be my favourite collection of the year (which is saying something, since I bought a huge haul from SCF).

I'm not sure if any collection could live up to CoC, which is, IMHO, Mac's best ever. I've spent the last couple of years tracking down bits of the collection, since I wasn't working when it came out and I had to go very light on my purchases... Still looking for a couple of goodies, but I'm almost there...
That said, FF is pretty awesome. It's got more diversity than many collections, with light and dark, warm and cool. I think this is going to be my favourite collection of the year (which is saying something, since I bought a huge haul from SCF).

The 2 blushes are Beautiful in person imo. Utterly Game is a gorgeous slight peachier than Peaches blush with smooth smooth texture & very good color payoff.
Pet Me blush is the sweetest pink but not too soft - lovely!
And, the MA artist helping me was a beautiful darker woc & when she put Utterly Game on her - GORGEOUS! we both thought it was beautiful on her & my crazy pale self! She loved the pink blush on her too! You should def. test them in person, but both colors looked equally nice on the two of us

I saw everything today & my first impression was - THERE'S SO MUCH TO THE COLLECTION
Which is really good, because there is prolly something for everyone - its a Makeup Buffet people
The liners (which I wasn't even going to get) are stunning, rich colors great application & amazing staying power! I wiped the swatches several times with a MAC wipe & they were still there!
I'm getting the bronzey brown & the grey ones
The MA had the silver winged out in a thin line under her lower lash line - it looked stunning
As my above post - I LOVED both blushes - smooth & purrty & decently pigmented.

I'll probably skip all the quads...
The only things that are cathing my eye are the pigments: Antique Green and after swatches Lithe.
They will be my firts pigment purchase, so I'm quite excited, and I hope I'll find easy to work with them!

Ok, I made the trip to the pro store this afternoon and here are my thoughts:
This collection is much better than I anticipated. Having said that, though, I think it's best for people who want to build their collection. For someone like me who has an obscene amount of make up, very few pieces were truly unique to what I already have.
I wanted a quad (didn't end up getting one, though). In narrowing it down, I immediately counted out Palace Pedigree. There's shade I can easily replicate with other Mac shadows or mufe shadows. So it came down to LL and BB. Honestly, I only wanted LL for Style Predator. The other 3 colors aren't special and Notoriety really sucks, so I passed. I almost got BB because I love Skintone 2 and BB. However, I ended up passing. The lightest color might be too frosty and Showstopper is something I already have. When this collection is offically out, I may cave and BB just for the one or two shades that I truly want. That sucks.
The liquid liners are fantastic, surprisingly. I bought Desires and Devices (a beautiful dark green)after much debate. I also wanted Pure Snow (gold), but it was gone already! I may also get Smoky Heir, the dark purple one b/c it's stunning. Playing with this once I got home, it's not so difficult to create a cat eye with liquid liner. It stays wet long enough that you can smudge and perfect the look.
None of the lippies impressed me and that's crazy b/c I am all about the lips. I did pick up Wildly Refined b/c it was a pretty goldish coral and it'll look nice alone or with Drive Me Wild.
Pigments: Bloodline is amazing! I saw the plum when I swatched it so it was a keeper. I almost got Antique Green, but miraculously I remembered I have a mufe shadow just like it (money saved!). Gold Stroke is also beautiful, but colors like that make me look ill, so I passed. Mauvement, had it before and got rid of it. It's chunky for me. I've had Old Gold for awhile and I love it.
I had to skip the mineralized blushes b/c they irritate me, but Pet Me is gorgoeus! It'll look great on NC45 ladies. I am so jealous. It's the prettiest shade of light pink with no shimmer.
It wasn't until I paid for all my stuff that I realized I hadn't played with Lithe pigment. That's because it's already sold out! Amazing. Glad I ordered it from Bloomingdales already. It's been shipped.
