So far I am quite happy with what I got.
The liquid eyeliner is quite impressive. It was easy to take off with water, didn't smudge all over my face, just came off it little peels. Easy(ier) to apply than other liquid liners I've tried. Dark and dramatic result. I'll probably get more but I'm not in any rush because as I understand it these will be permanent.
Lap of Luxury is much darker and more purple than I expected! I tried it on quite thick and it scared me to be honest. I've never worn such a colour in my life--though I really want to make it work. I tried it over Gaga and I thought it made me look dead. I think it would look nice over reds. Aren't dark lips like this usually popular in the fall (noob here)? If so I think it will get plenty of use soon.
Pet Me is nice. Not too cool so it's easy for me to pull off. I was scared of this being shimmery (I guess I relate it to mineralized skin finishes, which are very hard for me to pull off with the size of some of my pores), but it's more satiny.
Lipliner is nice. Goes well with the overall berry theme. Similar to my natural lip colour which is kind of neat.
Love the quad. I don't have any colours like them, they all stand out. Russian Blue is probably my favourite, but I'm one of those weirdos who actually likes MAC's mattes.
AND I am so happy with my brushes! I hadn't got the 219 or the 168 because I had them in mini sizes, but I didn't like that the 219 mini bristles were of a different colour than the original and it was starting to get a bit too fluffy for me, so I decided it was time for the full size. Let me say that it has really opened the door to the true magic of the 219. So much more precise and blends so much easier.
The 168 was sadly not as different from the mini as I expected. The bristles are much softer, but I expected it to be larger and fluffier because they are usually like that at the mac counters, which I figure now is from washing. Don't get me wrong, it's still worth having in full size.
The 227 I bought on a whim because I thought it was 'cool'. I also have a very large eye space and thought this would be a good choice for highlighting. I thought I could also use it when I apply shadow to the entire eye area as a base. I tried it briefly today and it has lived up to all these expectations so far. Good buy.
I accidentally got two of both the 219 and 168. I blame this incompetence on the new website design. This is my first return and I hope they accept my reason! I'm scared I wont get refunded. I did think 59.00 for the pencil brush was a bit steep. "Wow, I guess this is what you pay for a quality brush these days."
