MAC Fabulous Felines Discussion

I went back to the MAC counter today and swatched anything interesting and possible dupes from permanent line.

I gave in and bought Bloodline pigment and Pet me mineralize blush.

I'm happy that I did swatch Bloodline again. It looked so much better than the first time I swatched it. I really didn't need another blush, but Pet me is gorgeous. So much better than Dainty. And super pigmented for such a light color.

I decided against BB quad. It's super pretty combination of colors, but right now I can't justify myself to buy another "club", "shroom" and cool dark matte brown just to get skintone 2 (of which I already have some pretty close matches). I also think I have close enough matches to the shadows in the LL quad. Unless I'm going to need some serious comfort make-up, I won't buy these quads.

What a shame! I'm sorry it didn't work for you. How did they look awful? I have the same skintone as you but I'm still hoping it will look good. I have to try it soon.

Made me sure it was a good decision to get the quad. I used Cashflow with my look too! Great base for Skintone 2.

yes cash flow is a base that was made for this quad!!

I decided to try Bloodline again today. I was in a rush, so I didn't use primer. It totally stained my lids blotchy teal. I am not even amused, bleh.


I am putting this stuff in the box of pigments I never use but keep in the collection anyway.

Sorry it didnt work for you. I debated getting it because I wasnt sure it would look good on me but when I saw it in person I thought differently. However I never swatched it and would rather get my m/u done with it to see how it would look. I'm thinking it didnt look good on you because the colors are too cool? I cant wear cool tones....make me look sickly. There are some pinks that look ghastly on me as well as purples.....and they are all cool toned

so guys i need your help, i bought cunning, but it looks like a hot mess when i wear it, i swear, i look like a goth, i tried it with bloodline pigment on my eyes, and really liked it, anyone else got any other combos they like with dark lips?

Whenever I wear dark lips I usually have neutral eyes (for me, NC30 that means golds/bronzes/browns) but for you I might try soft greys or lilacs and make sure you wear blush if you don't want to get into goth territory... like a soft rosy blush (maybe if you bought pet me that would be a good choice)... I think the key is keeping everything else soft but not bare, smoke out the eyeliner instead of intense black or brown

I'm actually wearing Kittenish as a stain today with Lap of Luxury lightly stained on and LL quad on my eyes as my daytime look... and all I did today was garden lol

perhaps it was because i wasnt wearing a blush? i think it will take me a while to get used to the dark lip, i have never worn one before, i can wear almost any colour, i suit orange, coral, red, purple,bright pinks but not dark lips evidently!!

maybe it will just take some getting used to?

definitely takes time to get use to, but you have to wear blush. It seems weird b/c you don't want to look clownish or have too much going on in each area but blush makes all the difference. Without it, you can look corpse-ish, not fun unless that's the look you're going for

I swear, I'm losing my ability to compare colors, and any swatches I've seen just make me even more indecisive.

THose that have Lap of Luxury. Would you say it's more red, or berry? or wine?
Do any of you have an opinion of On Display vs. Lap of Luxury?

I thought I would get to the counter today, but it's not going to happen.

And I keep thinking about Lap of Luxury and Fancy Cat.
I wanted to take my Style Warriors L/g to compare it with Fancy Cat..
along with comparing my On Display to Lap of Luxury.
I THINK, LoL is different enough, different to have both. But that would be too easy of a decision for my color neurotic mind.

I don't have Cunning yet (hopefully it will be delivered Wed).
I know that sometimes when I'm going from wearing light lipsticks everyday, to wearing darker ones, it takes me some time with just dabbing on the darker color, until my brain gets used to seeing my features with darker lips.

I don't know how Cunning would be with dabbing (that's an industry term ya know. lol).

I bet you it looks pretty on you either way.

Help w/Fabulous Feline Lipsticks ASAP!

I've got a friend who's going to the Pro Store tomorrow and she's going to pick me up a few things. I don't live near a MAC counter, but last time I was there I picked up one of the lipsticks from the Fabulous Feline collection. I can't remember the name of it right now, but it was the glittery goldish greenish one. There were 2 more lipsticks I wanted, but I can't remember the names of them. I can't really tell what the colors are from people's swatches. Would someone mind posting pictures of the actual lipsticks and their names? I'm looking for the lighter colors, so no dark reds or anything. I think one was a pink color, and the other was more of a nude or pinky nude color. I've only been able to find pictures of all the lipsticks together, but without the names.

Could someone please do me a huge favor and post some pictures of the Fabulous Feline Lipsticks so I can tell my friend which ones to pick up for me? She's going tomorrow, and it's close to 11pm here.

So. I went in to look at this collection again. I just couldn't bring myself to buy anything. The BB quad was even less impressive to me and Liquid Lurex+Jealous lipglass just made me think I'd look like a washed out crackhead. I almost bought Best of Breed, but I already have the blue cremesheen from In the Groove. Even though BoB is more pigmented, I don't need it. I was also going to get Treat Me Nice liner, but it's perm so that can wait.

I'm done with this collection. Now bring on VV
