Very pretty!!

So I went to MAC yesterday and since I already own Lucky Green I thought that I would be getting 2 of the lipgelee's and 2 lipsticks. No lipgelee's for me. They were very pretty but a little too shimmery/glittery. I thougt that the gold one might resemble Goldyrocks...not so much. But I did walk away with 2 Ever Hips!!! I love them! It is the perfect coral lip that I have been searching for. So I couldnt walk out with just that....

....so I also picked up Patina, Sketch and Blackground PP.

This morning I felt like playing in my make-up so this is the look I did Lucky Green on the eyes, Marine Life on the cheeks and Ever Hip on the lips..

I can just imagine it in the crease with my favorite gray/grey Mac shadow, Clue and Remotely Grey but like I said I wouldn't trust me right now.

It just seems so different and uniquely ugly which means it's a must have.

I went to the store and picked up a backup of Ever Hip, Summer Shower and I ended up getting Alpha girl. I hadn't planned on getting it at all because I was hearing everyone say it doesn't work on medium skin types, but I tested it in the store and I really love the light little glow that Alpha Girl gives me, It looks nice, like a slight flush but not overbearing just kinda subtly there.

I got Groundcover and will do a comparison swatch tonight w/ Copperplate if noone has done it by then =] from swatches, Grouncover looks more brown

I'm still resisting buying anything from the next few collections until Semi Precious or the Bloggers' Collections (whenever that may come out)). So far, so good, but it's hard not to buy anything.

i checked out budding beauty today and i'm glad i didn't buy it online without seeing it. I wasnt really into it when i swatched it. It is really pale and milky but sheer and sparkly looking, i just ended up buying 2 things from the permanent line.. fanfare lipstick, and pink lemonade lipglass. I couldnt walk out of there empty handed!

Groundcover is light to the point if irrelevance. Swatching it last night really turned me off. It's like a murky gray. I just didn't see this being flattering on my eye w/o a lot of work. It reminded me of dirty water. Too bad since I love gray.

Live chat said Groundcover is a bit lighter than Copperplate.

It is a bit lighter, but they're definitely close cousins. I actually don't think that the colour is ugly at all. The problem with Groundcover is that its colour payoff is so bad. Copperplate, by contrast, is a dream to work with. I think you could get the same effect as Groundcover by using Copperplate lightly and/ or sheering it out a bit.

My order got delayed by UPS until Monday

UPS & the stores have screwed up almost every order I have placed in the last 2 months. I waited for a little over 3 weeks for my backup of Play Time from Macys. They kept assuring me it had shipped - so I asked for the store manger a couple of days ago - she found it was still sitting by the MAC register

what the heck. People are so incredibly incompetent these day. I just received the play time ls a day ago geesh
