Absolutely agreed. Other companies are giving out information even further in advance than ever, it seems (Chanel, Guerlain, Givenchy and Dior all have confirmed information on their sumer collections widely available), but Mac is keeping theirs under wraps... Not sure why.

although it usually gets people more hyped for collections in what i'd imagine would be more profitable for mac, i wonder if maybe it's to avoid too much hype?
this could be a reason. and maybe they want uis to have less time to think about our purchases so we buy more because we have had no time to think of dupes?

I have heard so many good things about Alpha Girl, so excited for this collection now! I'll probably pick up one of the BPs and a lipstick or two. The eyeshadows sound nice as well, but I'll have to see swatches of the new ones first. This collection sounds much more exciting to me though than Surf Baby. I also wonder what the packaging will look like on these. I thought somebody said it would be special packaging, and I don't think I've seen BPs without special packaging before.

I'm going to try to be good with this one. I definitely want the Summer Shower. Of the shadows, I'll look at Fresh Daisy, Bows & Curtseys and Groundcover, although I'm not certain on any of them. Both of the beauty powders sound lovely, though... I may skip the shadows entirely and get both, depending on how everything swatches.

I agree with this--like wanting to avoid the Rodarte fiasco. And to some extend to avoid other brands knocking off their colors like cody said a few posts ago--sorry cody, I tried to multiquote but it would not let me. Anti-dupe marketing strategies are whipping us into a frenzy to get color stories...
