MAC - Flighty Discussion

I love the look of My Next Indulgence, but if it doesn't last and creases horribly, what's the point? I'll go to other brands....

Does anyone have any recommendations as far as a dupe from the MUFE line?

For some reason, I thought I remembered reading that these were going to be permanent. Nevertheless, I've not bought any cream shadows (unless you count my beloved Armani EtK) and I don't intend to start with ones that have a reputation for creasing and fading. I'll go with MUFE and/ or Benefit.

i totally agree with you! we all have such high standards now so why produce a sub-par product? and i am aware that maybe they will work for some people - but it doesn't look good that everybody who has seen and tried them has not had a positive experiance.

I went to the local store today and asked about these and if they did crease as I had read...Sad news: Yes they do, the MA's were clueless as to why MAC would release a sheer product that creases so badly...They said they didn't see a point in the sheerness or that it is extra creamy...one of them mentioned that while trying to simulate what usually happens at counters/stores when testers fall, this product went everywhere like somebody had just spilled water on the floor!

So money saved

So 'big bounce' shadows don't do as it says on the jar - they don't bounce, they splat!

This collection will be released in two weeks. Same with Fashion Flower. I am wondering when we will start to see the promotional photos and some great swatches of all the items? Even though I am probably going to either skip them or just buy one or two items from each (yeah, right! More like three or four) I am really impatient to see these collections.

I don't doubt we shall see more swatches and such soon. Mac will be sending out the samples to people soon i guess :)

Karen has put up some pictures and swatches

She seems to think they will be permanent, too.

I really don't like this seeming new trend of MAC to wait until the last minute (or week) to release some good pictures!

I'm really not a fan of cream shadows, and regular dry shadow creases enough on me as is... I like the colored mascaras, but MAC mascara doesn't like my eyes. Or maybe basically anything non-waterproof doesn't like my eyes.... hmmm....

Skip I guess. Sad day. :(

I was going to totally pass, but I will try one, maybe two of these shadows. I am really loving the color of Count Your Assets and Rich Thrills. I can just these on the lid and pop a color in the crease or just put a shadow over this. I am laughing about the possibility of the product falling out when I open the jar, though. It really looks possible. I think I want the green zoom lash, too. I am desperate to find a green mascara that works.

Those shadows look so pretty in the pots... but if the quality isn't there I won't even think twice about them. I have enough trouble with creasing, without adding crease-prone shadows to the collection.

Pretty, though. If only presentation was everything.

not sure if MAC got the recipe right with the pots of ES.. I showed you guys these months ago and wasn't that impressed -- they are NOT Armani's EtoKill... no way, no how.

But again, some of you might like them.. like with Champale (lol, how I hated that whole collex). You all have to physically swatch and try these on imo.
