hmmm, I think I'll skip this collection. I really wish they had been paintpots :(

I'm just curious though, what is the appeal behind a gray mascara? Gray just sounds kind of odd, like if my actual lashes went gray I would be kind of upset! I guess I'm just not into the colored mascara thing though.

I guess if you think of it as silver-y, there might be more appeal? I'm definitely going to be trying them out, just to see how they look and if they show up on my black lashes.

The key to getting more than a sheer wash of color with these shadows is to apply a thin layer, let it dry, apply another thin layer, and so on. Think of it the way you'd apply nail polish. Also, using a base under these definitely helps a lot for a smooth application and you must use a brush, it works way better.

I'd love to hear what the actual time to dry is for these shadows. The Muse said it's + 1 hour. Who has that much time to layer shadows?

The Muse's review doesn't phase me. Everyone is different. I doubt these are a complete dud. There has to be a way to work these things. The Temptalia review as well as others gives me hope. I will play with it because I like the idea of it.

I really like that you have hope. Get some, prove me wrong and I'll bow to you!

When I saw the Count Your Assets swatch sheered out, it looks like what I wanted Dangerous Cuvee to look like. I might have to try it out. And possibly Spread the Wealth as well. Hmmmm

Did we find out if these are perm for sure?

One thing is certain: Nothing can piss me off more than those Cham Pale paint pots. Holy glitterbomb, Batman.

LOL I was the opposite to you. I was like GLITTER SQUEEE! I had no idea paintpots came glittery. :D I was drooling over those glittery Jill Stuart version of a paintpot. Asian people love sheer and glitter... lol

I think that it depends on how much you apply

If you apply only a little with a sheer result it will dry much faster than a thick coat with a more covering result.

I haven't gotten a chance to play with these yet, but I do plan on using them in my FOTD tomorrow. When I opened one of them last week I'll admit I was skeptical at the consistency, it seemed really thin. Keep in mind they had been in transit in the Texas heat so that probably had some effect on them. I'll try building layers with a shade, it seems tedious but the reviews range so wildly on drying time so far I feel like I need to get to the bottom of it. hehe

If it took an hour to dry on someone, they must have had an unreasonably thick layer on. If you put a thin layer, it sets within thirty seconds or so, at least on my normal to dry skin.

....me too!

I am so thankful for every review and swatch because I always have to make my decisions without testing the products in person.
Most of the time it is easy for me but sometimes it can be difficult.....

You make a good point. Still, I'll pass up these and simmer in rage if it turns out I missed out on a good thing.
