MAC Glitter and Ice Discussion

I'm debating How Beautiful b/p. I'm pale and dont do bronzers so I figured this was a subtle way of warming up my face. My biggest reserve is I heard it emphasizes pores and almost in my 30's, I cant have that.

What do you guys think?

I haven't tried HB itself, but judging from the texture, I'd say it's less likely to emphasise pores than a regular MSF. Highlighters in general can bring out pores, but I'm almost in my 40s and I don't generally have a problem wearing them. I think if your pores are very large, you might have issues, but in that case, you'd probably want to wear some type of pore-refining primer anyway.

How Beautiful didn't show up on me at all. Snowglobe was pretty. I am NC 44 for reference.

I did not like Whirls and Twirls on me at all, and I was gunning for it.

I abosultely love SheZam, I bought it b/c it was different than anything else I have. That's why I left the other dazzleglasses there, I am sure I have something similliar. Or can find something similliar.

Snow seaon, is very pretty on. I even like Shimmermint. I also got HTP and Winterized. Which I thing Winterized is very similiar to Rare Find on me. I need to play with it some more, or clean off my rare find. LOL

I got Let's Skate, and FOr Effect, which I think I should have gotten Morning Frost instead of FE, since the MUFE shade is similiar. I forgot all about that, when I was in the store. LOL

I just hauled today. Poor weather kept me in this weekend. I got: Shimmer mint Hold the pose Snow season All 3 paint pots Soft sable Whirls and twirls Pleasure principle Unconditionally fabulous Mineralize brush set Snow globe How beautiful The SA commented that it is good that I came now because the colors I bought would have been sold out If it weren't for the storm. I really wanted to get all the MES but needed to narrow down due to $$$. I decided to get Winterize mostly due to the talk on here but the SA brought me hold the pose instead and iliked the veining on it so I got that one instead. Now I'm having second thoughts. Should I run back and Winterize? I didn't like soft sable on me at first. It reminded me of all those grey toned lipsticks mac used to do in the '90s. Chintz anyone?? There were a few others. But I loved it with pleasure principal. Maybe it isn't exactly like those old colors as it was a bit more sheer. I really like sha zam too. I just wasn't sure I needed both ShaZam and Pleasure Principle.

How Beautiful didn't show up? How did you swatch it. I only tried it on my hand. I needed to try it at Home on the face with my brushes. I kept thinking about what Mac - Guy said about using a clean brush to apply or it gets a film on top.

Oh yeah I almost forgot. I got my haul from this collection!

Shimmermint mes- Such a pretty color! It really is glittery though, I was going to get too faced glitter glue for it but forgot about it when I did my FnF Sephora haul. With a sticky base I hope I can make it work. How are you guys wearing it?
Fresh Ice mes- Absolutely love it. Such a bright pearly white. Was so pretty as a highlight with the smokey eye I did for the Halloween party. I dont own many highlighting shades so I'm happy.
Whirls and Twirls ls- Gives a pretty icy looking pink sheen to my lips. I love lipsticks like this! I can see this being my goto lipstick.
Soft Sable ls- Oh my. When I tried it alone it looked scarey on me! lol But I'm hoping to just layer them on top of other lippies or add a gloss. I need to play around with it more

I stopped in at Myers yesterday to pick up my porcelain pink MSF and saw the new collection and squealed (yes i couldnt help myself when i saw the white packaging) I knew it was going out in stores but still not online for us.

With my package still on its way from the postie it was good to see for myself how beautiful 'Lets Skate' pp is and snowglobe beauty powder!!! i cant wait to get a hold of that. Mac Guys advice was definately spot on. Then i saw the brush bags... and my wallet started to cry.

Now i really want to pick up the mineralized set and the special edition set because they both hold brushes i use daily for when i got away for the weekends etc....... i wish mac would let us swap brushes around!! they dont have CCO over here so i dont know whether to grab just one kit (if i did it would be the mineralized) or both because im grabbing the buffer from GP

For once i got a helpful MUA at mac and she took me around all the products and let me look and helped me pick things to try and gave advice.

Just back from Mac. My haul:

Shimmermint and Snow Season MES

Morning Frost PP (I also swatched Let's Skate, but a milky pink just isn't a good colour on NC20-ish with redness)
the coral Dazzlesphere

My Mac didn't get Winterized MES nor Unconditionally Fabulous n/p, but I'm wearing CG Snow Globe, so no biggie. I will go back later today to try on some of the l/s, and I will get some of the kits, too.

What are the must have?

I'd say, She-Zam or Pleasure Principle dazzleglass
An MES or 2 or 3 (shimmermint if you enjoy glittery MES)
Snow Globe BP
Morning Frost and For Effect PP

I went back and hauled again after seeing the collection IRL (finally)
Passed on Shimmermint, love the color but it was too much glitter, and this is coming from a glitter bimbo here, afraid of total glitter fall out like nuclear winter in glitter he77
Passed on How Beautiful BP because it was lovely but I don't need another bronzer, and it was too bronze for me to love, the texture was exquisite however
Got Hold the Pose and Frozen Blue MES (I like the subtle shimmer of these and will use them for layering, or try them wet)
I wanted all the MES but I narrowed to these 2 because of the complexity of the colors and less fall out than Shimmermint--I think Snow Season and Fresh Ice are less unique and Winterized would have been my third choice, but I have to show restraint somewhere!
Got the Sultry lip kit because I Love Winter lippy was my favorite and plus I loved the bag and the liner and the lipglass with it--who can say no to special packaging? I wasn't planning on buying this but I caved--mostly because the pink creamsheen lippy was fabulous.
I really wanted all the brush kits, but I settled on the essentials one because it was the most versatile and had brushes I need
I would love to go back and get the other 2, hoping I can score them at a discount at a CCO
That was the extent of my haul for financial restrictions
If I had more cash, I would get the red lippy as well it was gorgeous, but I wear red lipstick like once every 3 months. Maybe I can score this later at the CCO also...
I loved all the palettes but they were tiny, y'all!

I got all 3 PP, Snowglobe BP, Whirls and Twirls lippy, Soft Sable lippy plus She-Zam & Pleasure Principle on the first haul.
Overall I am pretty happy with this collection but considering the expense, I may have to go on Low Buys for the next 2 or 3!!!

They're up, I've just ordered. You just need to go hunting in each section for them eg. lips, eyes etc. I cut my list down after I saw the price of it! I might go back for other things later on, maybe ask for them for Christmas.

I did also want to get Snow Season MES, Winterized MES (which appears to be sold out but it is probably an error), Morning Frost PP, She-Zam d/g but removed them because I just didn't want to spend so much. I might get over it haha and not order them at all. I really do have enough makeup to keep me going for at least 8 lifetimes and considering I'm only 22... well... oh dear. I'm not sure I will get any of the dazzlespheres, I haven't used my gloss sets from last year that much anyway and hate those crushed metal pigments.
