MAC Glitter and Ice Discussion

I've Vintage Selection and Benefit's Birthday Suit, so I guess I'm passing on Morning Frost. But after seeing the last swatches, I don't know if Let's Skate is so different of Benefit's Skinny Jeans... I was hoping LS was black.

Anyone can compare them? TIA!

For Effect reminds me of a dark grey version of Genuine Treasure which I love, so I'm def getting it. Thanks for the swatches bloominbeauty! And welcome to Specktra :)
Lets Skate is so gorgeous!! I'm def not opening them though, Imma perserve them in the fridge cause I want to use my PP p/p's first.

Benefit RSVP, MAC Morning Frost, Benefit Skinny Jeans, MAC For Effect, Benefit Strut, MAC Dangerous Cuvee.

In my opinion, Benefit Strut is way closer than Skinny Jeans. Skinny Jeans is too pewter/brown, not a dupe at all. But, Strut is less sparkly/glittery and is more metallic. I don't own Birthday Suit but I swatched RSVP. It's more pink/peach than Morning Frost.

Quick Mes and lipstick swatches. Soft Sable l/s looks like a greyish brown mauvey color, gorgeous!
I hatched a plan! I decided to get my must haves online and go to the counter the Sat after, if they are out of what I'm interested in oh well, theres plenty of awesome stuff coming up

I think Dustim got much better eyeshadows than Temptalia.The veining on his eyeshadows is amazing!If I decided to purchuse anything I will ask my counter to choose my shadows myself!

This is Let's Skate in direct sunlight. You can see how the shimmer really comes out when the light hits. This is gorgeous. I wouldn't have thought so initially based on what I saw online. But in person, and on the lids it gives an opal effect.


I also wanted to compare For Effect with Dangerous Cuvee. The picture is pretty self-explanatory. Same texture, same glitter/shimmer, just different undertones.

Still loving the MES. I wore my morning frost under Snow season (wet/foiled) and a bit of kid in the crease. It looked AMAZING and lasted for my 12 hour day!

Sending back both of my technakohls (not pigmented enough and not smooth enough, Temptalia is right!), silver skates and smooth manoeuvre. Also sending back both of my lippies likely (whirls and twirls and doublespin)... and, sigh, maybe even sending back my glitter polish :(

Great swatches! I definitely want these two p/ps now. I like this collection more then i expected. The theme is perfect i think.

Piarpreet, has your order been processed? Mine hasn't moved at all. I'm not too concerned as these are "just" BU's; however, I still would like my goodies. I wonder what's going on?!

I'd say the colour and even the pigmentation and finish is very similar (and similar to lots of other shimmery blacks) but the textures and behaviour of the formulations is different. I would only get the technakohl if you're running really low on Black Swan or maybe if you want to use it on the water line since these technakohls are one of the rare shimmery products that are considered good on the waterline.

Mine said shipped yesterday night.... and It's waiting in indianapolis (one truck trip away) since 12am last night.... but its gonna wait until monday.

I ordered on wednesday morning.... and my friend did on thursday LATE....as in 2am (friday) it sucks they got shipped AT THE SAME TIME!!!!!
