i love the promo pic just dont like the girls being in it. its like guys cant sell make up without a woman? It disappointed me cos i felt at the beginning that MAC was getting exiting about genderand now... again. Cliche

No point in getting upset or disappointed. Whether people like it or not makeup is always going to be a 'girl thing' like football is a 'boy thing'. It's just the way it is.

Well, I'm glad I haven't bought much lately because I'll be going crazy for this one. I'll be wearing glitter until God calls me home so this collection is right up my alley. I''m telling people now to just give me cash for my birthday (Oct 21 - shout out to the October birthdays I've seen floating around in this thread!). Hopefully I can gather enough to truly lose my mind.

Another Libra here, but in Sept (this Sunday, as a matter of fact). I'll be 47 (how the hell did that happen? LOL) so will skip the glitter part of this collection but I'm all about the ice .

I hope I get a MAC gift card, I can see needing it in a month .

I am such a glitter-harlot. I'll be all over this collex.

I am a little glitter phobic for anything on my wrinkly, haggard eyelids, but my lips are not wrinkly and those glitter handled brushes are calling my name. I thought last years Champale was a little meh but this collection looks to be very, very good (which means expensive).

Oh! My birthday is October 22nd too! I'll be in Vegas and I'm just hoping they will let me see it in person because I have to go back to flood ridden Vermont on the 24th

I immediately thought of Queen's Sin too!! I'm obsessed with this lipstick. I was hoping for it to be released with the VV collection, it would have been a great fit!!

I guess we will be each other's twin then dancepig. I'm sorry to hear about the floods in Vermont. We were pretty lucky here in NYC. My apt. got damaged due to a leaking ceiling that messed up my wooden floors. I am still waiting for all that to be fixed.

Me!!! I have my eye on the silver l/s (used to have one in the mid '90s), green mes, paint pots and brushes.

Is it just me or does this remind anyone of the Prescriptives makeup line? Those pigment minis look promising.


I have decided to skip on the brush set though. I am just going to buy a pair of these and tape some of my old brushes to them:

PS - I have seen way too much porn in my lifetime to not look at that brush set and think lucite porn/stripper heels. Just sayin'

If you love the silver lipstick and glosses and can't wait (or miss out on LE products) you can try Illamasqua intense lipgloss in galactic or their lipstick in vengeance, which is a little more subtle. Galactic is very, very silver. I find their lipsticks a bit drying personally (it doesn't help that the two I have are like the mattest finish I've seen in a lipstick) but the glosses are a great product.

I will be travelling for work around the collection release so I might wait and buy some stuff at the duty free since they seem to run out of the crazy colours last. It's really hard for me to say what I want without seeing some swatches though. I have a good feeling about those pigment stacks, but around that time of year here it's more Surf Baby than Glitter and Ice!
