MAC Glitter and Ice Discussion

I finally got to try out my Soft Sable lipstick today, and I'm not sure I can pull off wearing it on its own (I think it might be a bit corpse-y). Would layering it over maybe a dark berry colored liner or something fix the issue? I don't own any colored liners yet, so I can't try it out.

Can anybody compare How Beautiful to Golden bronzer and/or Equilibrium blush? I know the finish is way different but I was wondering if I can get the same end result with a sheer layer of Equilibrium and some beige highlighter from my stash.
And how does Snowglobe compare to Play it Proper?

Oh, & I got my Whirls & Twirls. Its a barely there shimmer. I can't decide how I feel about it yet. Its pretty & meh
I will try it over other ls & see if I still like it.

I saw the collection and even though I didn't haul anything (no rush its holiday), I know exactly what I am going to get.
Winterized MES. I was against some of the MES, but on this color is BUSINESS! Its very pretty, the plum looks very natural on my skin.
What A Joy. BOMB. I watched it next to Hang Up, Media, Desire, Prince Noir, MUFE #48... and its nothing like them. Its totally red pink and it looks so hot under the dark pink dazzleglass.
How Beautiful. Soft and bronzey. it feels good on and I love it. It reminds me of a lighter and less shimmery Bronze e/s
that's all I'm getting. Are the 282se and 286se brush bristles sturdy? My crown counter parts' bristles are a little flimsy. Let me know before I look into the full sizes, if and when they come out.
Oh and if anyone is looking to haul the set of brushes with the white bristles, I recommend you use Dr. Bonner's Magic Soap to deep clean them. It gets brushes super clean and looking like new. I use it all the time for my 168, 130, 131, 239 and 217 brushes.

I went to my freestanding MAC store after work last night and swatched a bunch of items from this collection, managed to get out of there without buying anything. I'm pondering How Beautiful, but the rest is a skip for me.
Some thoughts:
Shimmermint - lots of glitter in it (too much for me)
Snow Season - I nearly ended up with this, it's shimmery, not real glittery, and almost has a duochrome thing going on. But I have other stuff that is near dupes for it.
How Beautiful - almost a bronzer, but not quite, with a nice sheen.
Snow Globe and For Effect - not there so I couldn't swatch, looks like they were sold out of them.
That glitter nail polish - totally dupeable by Confetti's Pink Confetti nail polish which I got at a discount store for 99 cents. Only real diff is the shape of the glitter.
Morning Frost - pretty, opaque, but REALLY frosty. Frosty creams tend to bring out my eyelid wrinkles so I skipped it.
Winterized - interesting but I have so many gray shadows that I didn't need this.
Whirls and Twirls - Just sheen, not much color, I skipped.
I Love Winter from the sultry lip bag - A nice medium pink - still pondering this, but it seems kind of dupeable and I don't need the lip pencil or the gloss.

I'm wondering what you guys think as to whether How Beautiful and/or Snow Globe would be suited for a NC44/45 skintone? Would it be undupeable? Could I use it all over, or would that look ashy, or just plain bad?
When I was at my local counter the other day, the mua suggested that HB could be used as a highlighter, but somehow I am reluctant to fork over that cash if it's just for a cheek highlighter...

I'm NC 45 (in Prolong wear) and How Beautiful is just fine for my skinetone. It doesn't come off ashy at all to me at least. No you can't use it all over but that's just my opinion because it would look weird, but def. as a highlight. If you don't want a highlighter save your money!

It's a bit warmer then both and I really like it! So yes I think it is, plus it comes in the pretty white compact.
Lightscapade is also more metallic. I know they do look similar in swatches on my hand but I think you'd notice the difference more on your face.

Sure its probably dupeable but I personally prefer MACs beauty powders and highlighters. How Beautiful is good to add warmth to your entire face and Snowglobe would be used to brighten the face. The key with using those powders is a brush that will pick up enough powder to distribute it evenly. Not sure exactly which brushes to use though. Edit...I used my phone took forever to post this lol.
