MAC - Grand Duos Discussion

Hello guys and dolls! I've been off the boards for awhile, missed you all terribly and had to come back. Was surprised to see almost 100 pages on this collection. Just getting back on my feet financially and can only get 2 of the duos. I am N2 in Face and Body with red hair and green eyes. I don't wear alot of pink on my face but won't rule it out. Otherwise I am leaning toward Intenso and Hot Planet. Suggestions?

I don't know if others would agree with me, but I think Intenso and Hot Planet are more similar to each other than some of the others. If I could only get 2 for your, I'd pick one of them and then pick something else that's more different -- like Earth to Earth, Grand Duo or Love Rock/Moon River?

Hot Planet is more everyday-ish while Intenso is a bit more "intense".

I couldn't agree more!!!! I feel exactly the same way! In fact, I Love, Love it sooooo much that I bought 2

For me, it's right there with Stark Naked & Tippy = pure

I really want to get love rock also, but I already have tippy and blond. I guess i should save for the MSF collection in july. grand duo and moon river will have to do for now.

love rock is still super gorgeous though. i LOVE it. I would so get it if i didn't have both tippy and blond

I would soo buy Love Rock too, but Daft Pink (one of the MSF blushes coming out in Color craft) sounds so amazing and tempting for a pink blush...that I'm just gonna wait on that one

I am on the Love Rock train too. I have a second one also

, it is definately a favourite for me. I love Grand Duo ALMOST as much, It is a very close second.
I wore Love Rock for some dance performances this weekend and got some nice comments on my make-up.

Ahhh, so glad I got it.

I was surprised it worked for my NC30 skintone, thought I would be too yellow, but proved wrong!

Oh gosh yes, they are fulfilling, I mean, I know more blushes are coming out with Color Craft, but these are sooo pretty!

Wait for Daft Pink in Colour Craft. Should be just as good.

I'm still getting Daft Pink anyways. I LOVE this blue pink color so much!

What I love about love rock is that it has lavendar/ violet veining which makes it different from the other bright pink blushes. I don't think Daft pink will have that.

My counter was out of both Moon river and Love rock. I was going to pass on both of them anyway

. I got Grand Duo, Hot planet and Light over dark

Yay for MAC hauls.

Do you feel like light over Dark is to orangey. I got Earth to Earth and it just melts in my skin and i actually like that I can put any matte blush over/under it, so I am going to keep it but keep thinking over Light over Dark.

Light over dark shows up as a dark peachy colour on me. It doesn't seem orangey on me.

LtoD is the only one I have debated sending back. It does appear a bit orangey on me too.

But if I use it really lightly with the 187 brush it is still useable. I bounce back and forth about it.

Aww what a pity about Moon River. I am officially in love with it.

I think it would work well as a highlighter shade for you, too.

As of now, I actually like Hot Planet more than Grand Duo.
