Any love out there for Blessedly Rich???
Despite a most horrendous Monday, Tues. & Wed. I literally had to pull myself together & peel myself from a horizontal position, major sickness, medical drama (was suppossed to have procedure on Tues. but the preparation did not work & i had to do it all over again & wait until Wed. to have procedure, which made me so much sicker than i was prepared for- ugh!), after I finally showered & made myself as presentable as humanly possible my car did not start...I had to wait for 1.5 hours for the battery to recharge. I said something is telling me not go but I figured if I don't get out of the house I'm going to go bonkers...10 min. after leaving the house I got in a VERY MINOR car accident on my way to the mall (that was my fault!!! I feel horrible! I slighty damaged her car & she waved it & me off, I couldn't believe it but I still feel horrible), I made it to MAC @ Nordies Thurs. Yes, I knew they were launching on Wed. but 1 of the SA said she would hold 1 of everything 4 me, but I was still nervous that they wouldn't have gotten some of the products or only a couple & there was no way I could drive all over town hunting down the stuff. Well, I got in there & tried all the LS & LG & ST, FF, Sun Dipped,on & swatched everything except for Crew (thank u anti enablers!) BTW a LOT of stuff was already sold out! I couldn't believe it. Thurs ~5 I ended up getting Fleet Fast, I have redness in my cheeks & I was especially flushed yesterday & had no powder on but I really thought it was pretty & would be great in my blush collx. It especially looked good in the store with Sun Dipped on. I liked SD in the store but when I got home I think I over did it. I put more on after the SA put it on. I gotta play with it. As for lips, I need a nice nude that doesn't make me look dead & TCAS was not it. I wanted it to work so bad, but it was waaaay too frosty & horrible on me. TCAS looks great on u, Pirapeet. I thought Salute looked better on me, but they both were a big NO. SLV, is so orange. I took it home, but I don't know if it works or not. I liked it BETTER when I put a red LL on but I am still really unsure about it. Maybe it will look better when I have some other MU on??? I don't want to look like Nancy Reagen...super pale, wearing an orange lippie that already looks dated on me. What do other NC 10-20s think about SLV? Any hints on how to make this work for me? There was no RR tester so I'm hoping is beautiful. I just started buying a butt load of LG. well, this collx was so hard on me for that. BLESSEDLY RICH is so beautiful I bought a BU!!! I'm going to have to work with RL, maybe try that over the RR & return SLV. Love SMS! I was going to skip Emerald Sea, but it looks pretty & very unique...maybe a sleeper of the collection but a must have for my EL collx. I threw in the ST at the end b/c I really wanted Au Rose from the get go. I tried on & fell for Abalone but when I was driving home & no shit my tire almost split open & peeled & after spending don't even care to mention how much on make up I had to replace 2 tires & hang out at the firestone for 2 hours. The ST left such a bad taste in my mouth & I hated the consistency. I swatted the ES, I hope Jaunty & FF can be built up like I'd like. Also, nervous about the Navy ES b/c it was very streaky. Very. I think that is it. I hope I'll be more up to date on what's going on. I felt so lost without knowing what was going on with everyone & what everyone's thoughts are on this stuff. Hope everyone has a nice (holiday if ur in the States) weekend. Holiday will give us haulers Statesside a chance to play with our stuff!

Your eye makeup is amazing! I'm so in love with it.. But I'm NOT (I keep telling myself) going to get Jaunty...
Thank you so much!! :)

Here's my review for the blush Fleet Fast:

You might not see a huge difference between Peachykeen and Fleet Fast, but trust me they aren't dupes. Fleet Fast is more peachy-reddish and less shimmery. Also, I can build up the color while Peachykeen seems to sit on top of the skin.

My Nordstrom started with the Hey Sailor stuff like others said--yay! I was able to sneak off and pick up my pre-sale items. So far (since I am still at work) I've only tried Send Me Sailing and I LOVE it. The SAs were barely paying attention to me as it was, and I was in a rush so I didn't bother to ask for them to apply it...I did smudge some on my face with my finger and it doesn't look horrible so that is promising lol.  Seriously though I am annoyed at the SAs at the MAC counter...when I did the pre-sale they won back points but they lost them all (and more) again today. It was not THAT busy and there were even several people from "upstairs" but nobody even looked or spoke to me while I stood waiting at the register. Then finally somebody noticed the woman AFTER ME who had to tell them I was there. It was horrible, I felt so invisible/insignificant.  Beware! Off topic rant, just wanted to let FadBurger know she's not alone! I'm sorry to hear that u had such a negative experience with ur counter. It's make up, that's like going to the Salon, you get ur fill of girlie chat & laugh & feel beautiful. U r not insignificant or invisible!!! I hope u had fun on Thurs. for ur son's b'day & beach day! If it will make u feel better make a point to mention it to the MU department manager. A Laura Mercier SA made several horrible remarks about me to my face while trying to get me to buy some stuff. (I wasn't feeling well & had no MU on, which seems to happen more than I'd like to admit. I buy all this MU but don't wear MU every day.) But she was putting me down left & right. I knew I was upset but my mind was elsewhere & I bought what I wanted from SEPHORA because she was so rude to me. I will never, ever buy from her. Never. Anyhow, once I processed the conversation I was really upset & I called Nordstroms & told the MU Dept manager about it. She said it wasn't the 1st time. Then I met a freelance LM SA that sometimes works with her & I was telling her briefly why I won't buy LM @ Nordstroms & she knew w/o me telling her who it was. She was like that's how she is, which is fine in a work setting where u have little choice on who u work with but not someone whose selling u makeup. I just know that it's a defense thing & she feels & looks like shit herself, so she wants everyone else around her to be miserable. Seriously & she smelled like she smoked a big fat pack of soggy cigarettes. Another vent is this: At one mall, I would NEVER step foot in the MAC FS store because the SA/MUA were snooty, haughty & never helpful if they didn't feel like u were going to buy anything. So I always bought at Nordstroms. Well over the last 2 years, I hate going to the Nordstrom's MAC counter at this mall. One day the 1 SA they had said he'd BRB & never came back, never sent anyone to help me. They are so f--king lazy there. Even when there is NO CUSTOMERS are @ the counter they never offer to have me sit down & figure out stuff that may or may not work for me. To this day I will not buy anything from that guy who ignored me. I have a great SA @ the other Nordies who let's me do what I want, but will also help me when I need it. but I loathe the SAs at the 1st Nordstroms. They all never offer to help. Maybe it's a little bit me, I will go in & pull the whatever I want to swatch b/c I know if I have to wait for them I will never get anything, which could be a good thing...now that I think about it. My point is, it's not u, it's them & if u didn't, maybe mentioning it to them might make them see they r losing customers by acting this way. HTH!

All of this rude SA talk just reminds me why I buy 99% of my make-up online now!! The only decent SAs near me are at the Chanel counter, they're nice to me and actually know something about what products/collections are coming out next.

Just to add- IDK why SAs are often rude to me, I would assume it's because I look like I'm 12 years old. I'm 27 and dress reasonably nicely, always have make-up on, and carry nice bags, but I look super young.

I hope you find it! If not, try PMing purplerinne. I believe she posted earlier about having an extra (though I am not sure if it's still available)
Thanks! Well we will see, I mean I didn't want it so badly initially so I might not be so sad if it's gone~.

I woke up this morning really feeling like I made a mistake not getting Jaunty. Someone please convince me that it's not a must have.
I had better dupes for it in my collection already- Hey, All That Glitters and Grand Entrance! I liked all three better than Jaunty (NW15 here).

I just hate waiting and paying shipping (though mostly waiting since Nordstrom is free shipping) when I could just go and get it that day! I told myself I'd swatch in store and order online but I am just too impatient haha. I hate feeling ignored at the store but what can I do right...I'm impatient lol. I only wish they didn't get a commission off of me! But I guess the good thing about that is that I only usually buy 1 or 2 things at a time (this Hey Sailor haul was big for me at about $65) so at least they aren't getting a huge pay increase off of my purchases...

You know what Rinstar, I wonder if I have the same issue as you. I don't know if I look like I am 12 lol but I am 26 and I always wear makeup and have Coach bags (not the nicest bags out there but I do get complements on one of them and it's not exactly crappy)...I don't dress super nice but I don't wear my PJ bottoms to the mall lol. Anyway people often think I am younger as well...so that may be the case for me too.

When I was buying as a teenager and in my early 20s (when I still looked like a teenager) I experienced this as well, at least until I became known at the counter. It's ridiculous. How they don't understand that brand loyalty begins at a young age is beyond me.

Now that I'm in my 40s and sporting more sparklies on my left hand, I get immediate attention. It's not right, but it happens. I bought my daughter the Estee Lauder blockbuster kit this Christmas because it was a good value and I thought it would give a new to makeup kid a solid base to learn from. When we were at the mall and we inquired whether they'd be willing to show her how to use it (up to date techniques vs. her mother's, etc.) it was clear that they weren't interested unless we were going to buy a bunch more. That's just stupid. Seventeen year-old kid with a mother who is clearly prepared to buy good quality makeup for her. Sure, blow us off. Just don't expect us to be back.

I made an appontment for her with MAC to have her makeup done. All that cost was a commitment to spend $50 (like I couldn't do that any day of the week). The MUA was great with her and spent way more time than allotted not only making her up, but walking her through the application, having her do the second side, trying a different look, etc. Did I spend more than $50 buying her some core items? What do you think? Aside from that initial little haul, I've brought her home tendertones, paint pots, a couple of e/s I think she'd like, etc. She's a great kid and I don't mind treating her to the occasional item I think she'd like but would never buy herself. MAC gets that business not because I personally like their products, but because of the way they treated her. Our local counter main MUA is even nice to my little daughter who comes in with performance makeup lists periodically. She'll usually put a little l/g or a light dusting of shimmery e/s on to my daughter even though we just hand over the list (which is ridiculous really but thrills her to pieces).

I hate snooty counter or retail staff. I think the best thing to do is to vote with your wallet and take your business elsewhere, making sure the manager knows why you're going.

I am so glad I have never had a bad experience at my counter.

I have to say the women at my Bay counter are the best. They are always, happy, helpful and knowledgeable.

When I called Wednesday to ask about putting some HS products aside the MA said, "If you're going to buy $50 worth come in early and I'll do your make-up." It was great fun and I finally learned how to contour my cheeks correctly.

Woo hoo! I'm going to see if I can make it to the pro store AGAIN today to pick it up. I went back yesterday and picked up the mascara, orange tempura (which by the way is gorgeousssss), crystal avalanche & barefoot. Hopefully I'm done with HS now

Oh No! 2 votes for Orange Tempera. I managed to skip it with the last collection it came in. I thought it looked like something I had. Now I have to go through my stash and find a dupe or run to the store and buy one.

I've used the orange part of Crew today as a highlight in combination with Modern Mandarin. It's a gorgeous combo!

So I finally went to MAC last night...I can't say I was underwhelmed, because the products are definitely nice, but I guess I don't think most of the items seem suited to me, especially the bronzers and glosses. I ended up passing on crew cuz it barely showed up...maybe because the overspray was gone? I liked Feeling Fresh, but...not as much as fresh flare. I guess on that I could be swayed. I picked up FF, jaunty, barefoot, and nautical navy. I might go back for pencils, but still on fence there. I thought handforged and blue stripe were beautiful and buttery....handforged I am waivering on because I have uppity fluidline, but have rarely used it. I think however, uppity is a lighter gold, though I didn't compare side by side. Blue stripe I waivered because I have Navy Stain Powerpoint (though it's sheer and not sparkly), and a blue kohl from MUF (which is similar colour but different formula altogether). Aahhh decisions decisions. Oh yeah, and riviera life was too gritty for me. Anyway they seemed fully stocked at 7pm yesterday, so unless something crazy happens, I think tthere's still time for me to think.

Holy Moly Hun! I am SO sorry to hear of you having such a low day! On days like that, the only thing that makes it slightly better is to think about how rare really bad days like that are. And things can only improve when times are at their lowest! So put all your new makeup goodies on that purty face and smile BIG!! Because life can't keep you down girl!!
Hope things are getting a little better every day...

Spanky, I'm sorry to hear your day's not going well...Big hugs to you, and I hope the rest of today and your weekend is brighter and smooth sailing ! Your purchases sound great - Sometimes it's better to go in there without everybody's reviews. At least you know you aren't going to get as influenced by hype, and more likely to base your decisions on what you'll use and how it looks on you! But I certainly do know what you mean about feeling out of the loop. Did you wind up getting the blue eyeshadow? I liked the shadow when I swatched it in store, and I wore it today without any problems.
