MAC - Holiday 09: Magic, Mirth and Mischief (Holiday Sets Part I) Discussion

Yeah, the pink one is throwing me...and the whitish one on the far right is really irritating me since it's turned around and you can see the lettering. I think Maroon is wedged back in that first one, but it could also be Chocolate Brown.

You know what, I think the white is
Reflects
Transparent Teal.

Look at it. That's how it reads. The First word is Reflects, you can see the S on the end
And the second line Transparent TeaL, and you can see it is 4 letters and L is on the end.

I think you're right!! We have our first confirmed glitter!!

Yes, I agree that's what it says. I've never been so obsessed. There are 5 that we can't see......I think the one on the right reflected in the box is NOT the pink one in the front, but rather the one in the back - could it be one of the Fuchsias or maybe Magenta? The one between it and the light pink one in the front looks sort of purplish on my monitor.......Grape perhaps? Or maybe a new one specific to this collection?

Damned!!! Now I want a load of things from that collection, at least a Lipglass set, 1 eye palette and 1 face palette..... minimum.... and all 3 pigments sets of course.

All 4 e/s sets (maybe all 4)
At least 2 of the l/g sets
The pink face palette
ALL 3 p/g sets, and maybe a backup

September 23rd better get here quickly.....and then October!!

To me, when looking at my pigment jars, it looks like the far left in the middle set could be Your Ladyship
I also think there is a chance that the far right one in that set(the real dark one) could be the glitter because you can see on the top part of the vial the product is not sticking(so IMO its more like how a glitter sits instead of a pigment...pigments are usually stuck to the glass)
LOL, I was going to try & send a message asking for colors, cut could not figure out how

I also think maybe the pink all the way to the right is Helium(again)
and I would guess the white glitter on the left is plain old Reflects Gold
I agree to the one piggie being Melon most likely

i go on holiday tommorow to Paris and i am hoping that when i get back we have some names for the pigment sets!

and i love transparent teal glitter and even though i have a full size i am more than happy with a vial too!

but i'm hoping melon pigment is not included - i know people love it but i don't find it that exciting and it came out last year!

I'm leaning toward Goldenaire, Lily White or Shimmertime for that light one in the middle set. I kinda think I see the faintest wording of 'Glitter' on that dark gold vial in the middle set. Dammit, where's my magnifying glass!

Shypo, I think you're right about the fuschia in the reflection. Perhaps that lighter pink one in the front is Apricot Pink. My jar kinda looks like that color.

The first thing that had me drooling is the warmer e/s palette. I wonder if the gold color might be anything similar to the gold in the Notoriety quad. I loved that color but didn't buy the quad for just that one e/s.

Great catch, both of you.
My uneducated guess from your suggestions and my own hunches:

Warm set - Reflects gold, Maroon (or Heritage Rouge?), Melon, Blonde's Gold

Cool set - Reflects transparent teal, Pink Pearl, Deep Blue Green

Smokey set(?) - Reflects Antiqued Gold, Dark Soul and Deckchair (or Goldenaire)


and I'm hoping I'm wrong on most of these too. I'm tired of the same old sets every year. Melon does = Satin Taupe for pigment sets.

Warm Set: Melon, Reflects Gold and that brown taupey I think could Sweet Sienna or Subtle. It taupey and not brown like Gold Stroke.

And there is definitely red back there, but would they put Sweet Sienna and Maroon in the same set. Could it be Royal flush, although it looks darker.

Yeah, I don't think it's Your Ladyship. It's way too peach for that. Your ladyship is almost white in color. Another possibility is Jardin Aires.

ETA: Face2Mac: Unless the colors are way off in the photo, it isn't Sweet Sienna or Subtle. I have both Coco (which Subtle is a clone of) and Sweet Sienna and they are definitely cool, gray-toned light silvery taupes. No gold tones at all. I wish I was wrong on this.

I think another confirmation is in store.

Jardin Aires/Goldenaire or Tan.

ETA: it looks taupe on my screen but I do think it might be Gold Stroke and I would be so disappointed if that were true.

at least the taupey-silverish-grey color of the box is screaming for sweet sienna *lol* i guess

I'm also sadly guessing that based on previous pigment sets, there won't be any older pigments like the D Bohemia or Rebel Rock pigments in these. Mac doesn't like to go to the "way back" machine unless it's dragged to it, by us fanatics, unfortunately. If it's more than a couple of years since it's released, then it is less likely to be repromoted. So we can probably cross of Coco, Coco Beach, All Girl and the like.
