MAC - Holiday 09: Magic, Mirth and Mischief (Holiday Sets Part I) Discussion

I still haven't purchased the holiday sets since I've been trying so hard not to spend too much money. Both the lip bag and eye bag that I'm lemming for is still going to be the two that I'm going to get. I may also get the Sorceress Eyeshadow Palette.

^I wore the Sorceress set again today if that helps the enabling

The middle color on the bottom is very pigmented so you don't have to use a lot but its a great set to have if you love purple!

Actually I was at the KaDeWe Berlin yesterday but they didn't have the tester for the set (yet, I hope). I like Sexy Sheanigans and Models Misbehaving

.

By default I think I'm getting Models Misbehaving. I have to try Sexy Sheanigans first though because my lips are pigmented and the very light colors usually show up too pale on me .

And for me the pink / purple ones in Models Misbehaving are the ones that made me rethink the set

.

BTW, I got the Smoke and Mirrors eyeshadow palette earlier this week (that's why I was already broke). And I looove it!!!!

(side note: I never tried/have smokey eye before this palette)

I think I will use most of the Shenanigans-Set as addition to lipstick, on their own, some of them might be too light for me, too, but they just looked so cute

I also really liked to have a couple of different colours at once.

haha, maybe we could wish from Mac for a bronzey/coral/orangey-set and one with light and dark pinks so everyone would get the perfect set

(just as they have with lipsticks usually).

Smoke and Mirrors is really pretty, and I like this year's packaging better than the years before (where I did not buy any palette also for that reason).

i'm thinking the same thing! i'll most likely buy it in pot form... and then depot into my 15 palette

i like taking my little palettes on holidays too! i have a few quads that i take away with me as well as the smokey eyes kit form last years holiday collection

My friend purchased the smoke & mirror palette for me and I love it! It is a great neutral palette that I can see myself using for work.

karla sugar has posted some great swatches!

i thought i was going to skip the sets, but i find myself wanting the sexy shenanigans (spelling) lip set, and the sexpot pigments! and i dont own any pigments, and never used them when i did!

what a great collection.

pigments are awesome! i can't believe you don't own any!

they are slightly messy to use but i love the fact i can mix them to make new colours, use them not only on my eyes and such. the sex pot set is lovely - i'd buy it but i already have all the colours!

I can't believe you don't own pigments either!!!

Together with Chanel Levres Scintillantes are my most preferred make up items!!!

Yes, her swatches are awesome again!

I got Sexy Shenanigans and Frisky Business yesterday - I love both sets! These mini lipglasses will be with me in my bag every day now

im just not that much of a pigment person, but i loooove the MES from this collection. it would be better for me to get another one of those, but i do have my eyes on the sexy lipglass set
