MAC - In the Groove Discussion

I have been feeling like MAC has been moving away from it long standing motto of "all races".. I am so tired of blushes and msfs that are only highlight colors. A better approach would be to have a range of blushes that fit the skintones that you sell foundation for.. One blush for fair, med, and dark skin..

I think MAC hit the right note with the blushes in Spring Colour Forecast but I do agree with you - sometimes us WOCs have to work with the products more to make them look good on our skintones. I'm looking forward to these new mineralise blushes - I think a few of them would work fantastically on a range of skintones!!

I look forward to stereo rose even if its lighter and I will pry buy 2! I do wish lighscapade would be re-released I want that and new vegas bad!

A lilac msf would rock they deffinently need to experiment with the color palette.

I'm still getting Stereo Rose. I'm glad I don't have an original so I can pretend to myself that it is just the same

I have some interest in By Candlelight, but I'll have to see it first. I won't need Stereo Rose cause I just bought some from my sister.

I'm interested in You've Got it and all the lipsticks except for Jazzed (too orange for me)...still, I'll need to see these in real life before I can make any real decisions.

I am still going to buy Stereo Rose although I don't know if there's going to be any left when I arrive to Miami the 12th of july, I wish there was a way of holding items for a couple of days

Teggy By candlelight is gorgeous! I really love this MSF, if there are still some available I might get a backup

By Candlelight is still on the Canadian site and I've been looking at swatches all over again trying to decide. I'm still unsure but there's time since it is coming back. I know I wanted it last time though!

I am still undecided about the lighter Stereo Rose. I think I must see it in real to make a decision.

I was kicking myself for forking out the dosh to get an original release stereo rose when I heard it was going to be re-promoted with In the Groove, but now I'm kind of happy I did since it isnt going to be the same colour...

And now I can justify buying a Stereo Rose (v2)

since it is kind of a different product

by candlelight is one of my fave msf's. i reccomend it! it makes an amazing glowy blush or a lovely pink highlighter. and not to mention beautiful on the lid too!

I'm definitely nabbing Stereo Rose, it looks GORGE! Also, by the look of some swatches, Petticoat looks lovely too! But I wonder if I'd be able to pull it off; I'm NC35 and maybe it'd look off on my skintone? :

petticoat is beautiful. sadly i am nc20 so much lighter skinned so not sure what it would look like on you. i would have imagined it would look ok - raspberry pink tends to look good on all skin tones right? although maybe the lighter part wouldn't look right? i'm sure a more tanned person can let you know!

Oh for SURE! I love Petticoat it gives me a gorgeous raspberry pink sheen. I wore it all summer long a couple of years ago and I still love it. The one I got has quite a bit of raspberry veining and works well for me, so maybe try to pick yours out in the store to suit your taste. I am considering getting a back up - I got mine in the clearance bin (paid £45 for it at the time!) but I'm looking forward to getting a nice new one to keep on standby for when I run out/if I break it.
