They're freaking crazy! Why do they release two collections on one day? Do them one at a time so you can send an email on the day it launches.... It does launch in stores today, though.

I wish I was oblivious again- not on Specktra and just going to MAC the day I got an email for a collection. Those were the good days.

See, I'm glad I'm in the know now. It might be a little obsessive, but I see Specktra as a way to pre-plan on what to buy so I'm not standing in the store and being dumbfounded by all the pretty things.

I use it as a tool as well and I am glad I know about it. I'm just being silly. If it weren't for Specktra I wouldn't know about any MAC collections or what to save for in advance! I love it!

I suppose you won't know until you get the box.

i ordered petticoat offline, seeing as yesterday afternoon they were sold out of stereo rose already. i called and reserved one at my counter, i'll be headed up that way soon to pick it up.. usually collection launches in my area aren't that big of a deal unless it's the mid-summer launch like to the beach, or the end of year launch (holiday). we'll see how many people are there today. haha.

I leave out of here at 11:15 and I am soooo nervous. My best friend is going along with me for moral support if they don't have my holds. I didn't call because I don't want to be known as "the spazz" before I get there so I'm just going to cross my fingers and hope for the best.

Still no shipping notice.

I broke and bought Petticoat, along with Hang Loose and Stereo Rose. My SA totally pulled through for me and she said she had to fight to get it. LOL!

So remind me, do we like veining with Petticoat? I got one with lots of veining (more than the display one) and I like it tons better.

I just went to check my bank account and still see the SR Pending from MAC from the 6th. I guess I won't be getting mind. It surely wouldnt still be pending 2 days later if they had or were going to ship it out.

I just got home from my nearest counter.

About 10 of us were waiting outside before they opened - 3 (including me) were there at about 9:45am and kept glancing at eachother nervously lol!

I predict a sold out by now...definately.

One of the girls bought 3 SR and 3 Jazzed.

I got my SR back-up and my Jazzed (they even let me B2M)!

No one was even touching the Alice+Olivia display!!! I got it all to myself and got a few more swatches for the swatch thread (better ones than my originals).

It really IS madness out there...

That might not be the case. I made two separate orders that day, one with SR and some other stuff, then I went back and made a purchase of Chillin and Naked Lunch. Both orders are still pending and I know NL and Chillin aren't sold out. I think they just don't update.

I did call a MAC about an hour away from me this morning and have them ship one of their three remaining Stereo Rose's just in case. Also got Call My Bluff, I Like It Like That and You've Got It. I think this is the biggest haul from a single collection I've ever gotten - 8 items! That's a lot for me!

WOW...I'm putting myself on No Buy. I want a couple shadows from Dare to Wear. I might have to tell myself no after all this madness.

Ok I as well just got back from the mall (Macy's) and was the first and only person there at 10:00. I had called yesterday to have SR held for me and my MA was there and handed it to me and said I was lucky cause they only got 6 in!!!!!!!!!! What the heck is wrong with MAC? I just don't get it.

She also told me I was lucky that I had put it on hold cause she got a ton of phone calls yesterday for it but they were all spoken for. She had all the products lined up on the counter for me to see, and it was nice cause I was the only customer there so we could chat for a bit.

I also wound up getting the eyeshadow Fresh & Easy. It was SO pretty in person. I would have never picked it out on line.

Good luck to you all today who are going shopping. Two things I've learned is to get there right as the store opens with new releases (that is, if you can - I know it's not that easy for everyone to do that) and call ahead to have items held for you.

By the way, my MA was not pleased that she'd have to tell so many people today that SR was sold out.

This is my first SR and I just tried it and it really is very pretty.

God MAC makes me look like a complete idiot. My online order is still pending so I was at Macys' @ 10 on the dot! They were still having their morning meeting, the lights were off...and here I am sprinting across the parking lot like I stole something. The freaking counter wasn't even open! LOL. My MA showed up @ 10:15. NO ONE was there except me. He was like "you are insane!" But at least I got a SR.
