MAC - Love Lace Discussion

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Utterly Discrete. In an earlier post I said it looks kinda brownish with shimmer in the tube, but on the lips it's so pretty and pinky brown with shimmer that catches the light and it's gorgeous. It's sheer enough for everyday wear with a bit of a punch to it. It's easily one of my faves and it shows up great on my pigmented lips.

With my counter being sold out, I went ahead and ordered it from the website. It will be at least another week before I can make it to another store, and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find it and then regret it. Thank you for your review!

So the collection finally arrived to Mexico. I only got 3 things. Hypnotizing, Icescape and Light Affair.
I love everything i got but I still think that maybe i should have gotten Love Lace too. It's just gorgeous but I just don't use blues too often so there's no point in getting it.
Anyway... I'm super stoked that I finally have my Love Lace items.

I have Utterly Discerete and I have to say own it's own it's really sheer on the lips, I was hoping it would have much more color pay-off than it has. It prolly works better over a lipstick than just on it's own. I'm NC15 with medium pigmented lips it gives hardly any colour.

I can post my swatch pictures tomorrow, I have them on my other laptop and because it's kinda late I'm too tired to open it now

I am ok with sheer because I prefer lighter lips, but I was worried it would be alot of color. I can't wait to try it over different lipsticks and see what kind of effect it gives

Icescape is sooooo pretty!it gives a whole new twist to lipsticks like fashion mews and makes it so wearable, also goes over pink or nude brown lipsticks on me... i actually loved the combo of intricate and utterly discrete but didint buy either, might just get utterly discrete, its a lovely brown/plum/purple/pink and looks good over purple rite as well

and the best part i tht u can change the colour by adding a brown/natural or a purplish liner.. awesome!

I knew for a fact that Utterly Discrete was awesome when an MA said "you're wearing Utterly Discrete, aren't you?", out of nowhere. No one has ever correctly identified what I wear. It's just so pretty. I think if you have pale lips, it'll be even more noticeable. I am not one for sheer glosses, but this one is a keeper.

I saw this collection and I like the twp blue e/s and hypnotising but could pass them. I didn't pick up anything. Light Affair is a lovely colour but it is too pale and cool and just does not work on my skin. Money is saved.

I am applying the Light Affair n/p right now and I want to add some Konad later. It looks a bit dead on me because it is kinda my skintone minus saturation but I love it anyhow. It looks like a sophisticated nude.

^^ Glad that you like Light Affair. It is in no way nude on me. Blissed Out from Warm & Cozy is nude on me and I like it. Must resist the temptation to buy it.

Light Affair is not a real nude on me too but kind of an muted nude with less saturation (?). I am glad that I caved and bought it but I think it is a color that may not work on every skintone.

I also added a Love Lace inspired Konad and rhinestones to my Light Affair manicure. I love how simple but classy it looks.

The application of Light Affair was not bad. Not as good as most of the China Glaze Up&Away nail polishes but also not bad. Light Affair was opaque with three thin to medium coats.

I have been looking for a nail polish close to Light Affair for quite some time. Unfortunately the color was a little bit too light when I swathed it on my nail. But still a really pretty color.

Agree with LMD84 and TeresitaMC, awsome nails.

I also love light affair and I agree that it isn't a nude kind of shade but a subdued color that looks very classy.
Capmorlovesmac I love the mani you did and am now lemming Konad stuff.
