MAC - Love Lace Discussion

My ex-boyfriend is not happy with me right now. He works near a Mac store, so I gave him the $$$ to buy Suave Intentions and Love Lace shadows. He hates going in girly stores. He feels all awkward. I told him to get over it and be lucky I didn't make him pay for it. I can't wait until I get my shadows tonight!

Well some how I ended up at Nordstrom today on my lunch break and I ended up with Sauve intentions e/s, Love Lace e/s, and Hypnotizing. I seriously am in love with sauve intentions and the pictures just do not do it justice. Such a pretty color!!

I usually love these cool collections in the winter time but I was a bit underwhelmed with this one. I was going to buy the whole collection but only ended up with Suave Intentions, Love Lace and Sense of Style. I also got a sneak peak at Warm and Cozy. It is too die for!

I must say, that while I love the color scheme of this collection, I am not digging the fact that the colors look like shades we have seen before.

I went in my usual MAC a few days ago to get one of the holiday brush sets and saw that LL was already out there. I had been thinking of getting a few things if I liked any of it b/c I've been on a no buy kick lately and I HAD to get Hypnotizing. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE this color. I don't find it to be chunky and have been applying it with the 275 brush which has been working well for me.
I had said to myself that I probably wouldn't get Pincurl b/c the description made me think it was just another frosty white but in person, it seems to have this pinkish duochrome to it and I was not reminded of Crystal. This was more pink than anything so I got it too and LOVE it as well. I also got Raven which I also adore and I think I want to go back and get the other shadows. I've sort of gotten away from blues but these were muted enough that I think I could make them work. LOVE this collection! Did I say that enough already???

Exactly! I feel like if they should've just re-released a bunch of much-missed LEs from the past.

I like if they repromote LE products. This way you can stock up without buying backups the first time. Especially lipglasses.

I ordered some stuff the other night with the overnight free shipping code and something went wrong with UPS b/c it says it is out for delivery----back to MAC!!! ARGGHH!!!!

exactly! i never back up glosses in case they go off. so that's why it;s good they release certain shades again

saw this collection today and i have to say i was underwhelmed. the eyeshadows are nothing special, hardly unique. lip products: same thing.
i only got feline.
i guess i saved money for the amazing 2010 collections!

So I got suave intentions, love lace and utterly discrete. I really like what I got. Also, I wanted sense of style eye kohl, but the chick gave me stud brow pencil, instead. I am not happy about that.

Anyway, the two shadows are gorgeous and compliment each other very well. Today I wore suave intentions with Blue Green pigment. It was amazing.
Pretty Discrete is a funny product because it looks like 2 different colors. In the tube it looks dirty brown, but on my lips it was a gorgeous, blue tinged pink. It was sheer, but added such a lovely color to my lips especially when the light hit it. I think it's backup worthy. So, I am happy with my selections.

Hello! I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas!!

I have been so MAC and Specktra deprived! Due to the obvious reason. So I still have not taken care of Love Lace or Warm & Cozy and am still, but finally, deciding on what to get. It feels like the longer I had to wait, the more confused I am :S

I am going back and forth on LL & SI e/s, but would love Hypnotizing. When I swatched it last week, and then left the store, the lighting in other stores also made it look so pretty

It was like Style Snob with pink reflects. And that day, I was wearing Style Snob blended onto my crease, which 2 people had said it looked like a purplish brown colour. So now I'm certain Hypnotizing would surely be a great backup to the amazing Style Snob.
