Ive never tried mattenes how are they?

I only have two but I really like the formula, not drying at all. I'm going to get the lightest one for sure from this collection.

I might get one of the paint pots too but that's all for this collection. I did pick up Frozen Violet from the outlet last week.

I don't think they are as matte as the retros but still matte.

I am a paint pot addict. I never do my eyes without one.

I think it makes sense! When I think true matte I think retro mattes when I think creamy matte I think satin/matte

I am really excited about Fashion Revival but I already have Eugenie, Acai and Runner and from google swatches they seem really similar.
Can anyone tell me if its similar to any kind of color I could possibly own? I need to start saving if I need that one too

Well, it depends if you wear those kind of colors often, I guess. I usually wear more natural lip colors and tend to grab those nineties brownish shades when I wear darker, stronger lipstick, and I need to make a huge confession...I have worn my Fashion Revival only once. Yep, I said it. Hope that noone's gonna call me a makeup sinner lol. So I think I could have simply picked Rebel in B2M instead, which is similar enough for my liking. But of course, FR's matte finish is nicer and adds a special something. I think Mackarrie had a nice and reliable comparison swatch of FR on her blog.

I see what you mean. I tend to buy the same neutral color again and again, but at the same time, they're all different. And then, there are some shades I own for variety, but they don't get a lot of use. I own about 50 lipsticks, but still, I think some options are lacking. FR itself is very pretty, so if you want it so urgently, why not get it. Maybe I should see the repromote as a sign to wear mine more often. I'm oficially in autumn mode now, so I cannot wait to use my berry and plum makeup again.

Here are the items on my watch list:

Diva antics & Self Aware, although Amplifies are not my fav. They always tend to slide everywhere on my lips, even though the pigmentation is awesome. That's the exact reason why I prefer Mattes.

Eyeshadow Palette, There's nice neutrals and new colors and regular MAC eyeshadows like Sable which I don't have.

A little Lusty, depending on how it swatches on the cheeks.

Own the Look and Power my Spirit. I've never tried a Mattene, they pretty much discontinued them before I started getting into MAC. So I'm definitely gonna buy one to try out.


Imaginary paint pot. I really like the staying power of these paint pots over any other cream eyeshadow.

I'm really coveting the new Patent Polishes, ALL OF THEM, but I guess I'm the only one who does so...and maybe one Mattene and that coffee nude regular lipstick

So lipstick, lipstick, lipstick.
Then, I really like the x9 palette, but at second sight, it's just another neutral palette, and I already got plenty of those. And the Paint Pots, but I always really must motivate myself to use the colorful ones I got. It's most convenient for me to use a neutral Paint Pot or UDPP, but I'm too lazy for the other shades.
So it's just a bazillion lipsticks for me, I guess.
