more food for the impatience among us :)

half the collection seems semi-matte and the other half very matte. (I love the nude color in the picture)

(small remark: somehow this product picture seems to show that the packaging is different from the e-bay pictures that were posted earlier on in this discussion)

Warning: Sad Reality/Buzz Kill Ahead-

There are only so many spots on the shadow displayers. As all 16 of the Matte2 ES are permanent, then some current permanent ES will be DCd.

I know Jewel Blue just got DC'd. Felt Blue is gone and a few others, as well. We can also factor in the fact that any one time there is a "hole" in the displayer/schematic were a DC'd shadow used to go (then they fill it with a dupe of the shadow next to it), so that is a "spare" spot. Additionally, MAC will keep some shadows in the line, but take them off the displayer and remand them to the sad, lonely overflow jars.

So....what I am getting at is that we will probably lose a few perm ESs to gain a few perm ESs. I know, I know, change is good, but I do hate to see the old faves go goodbye!

actually MAC is adding an extension to the display unit so that more shadows will be able to be on the shadow unit

Am I the only one upset that the lipsticks are not in the regular tubes? That really bugs me. I don't like the long, slim tubes.

I, too, would probably prefer the regular tubes.
I say "probably" because I'm not familiar with the long, slim tubes.
However, I have [naturally] full lips, and even the regular tubes are almost too narrow for me.
It seems sort of weird to me that, in this age of collagen injections and OTC lip plumpers, MAC would trot out a narrower lipstick design.

I really like the long slim tubes. They're cute and chic.

well the slimshines had to be in narrower tube because the formula was so soft. if they were put in a regular bullet, they would break as soon as pressure was applied. i'm not sure of the reasoning behind mattene being put in the slim tube. they didn't explain that part to us at basic.

I LOVE the slim tubes. I have really full lips, but I prefer to use several strokes to really get the shape of my lip rather than trying to get at it with the stubby larger lipstick.

I agree. I do not have really full lips, but they are a bit bigger than average. I would rather get the details right!

I love the slimshine lipsticks themselves! They're the perfect combination of lipstick and lipgloss... I wish they were permanent

Thanks for taking the time to post the pic. I appreciate your effort. Is the Matte2 sample the crushed up blue shadow perhaps? None of the new colour descriptions would seem to match the yellow and red shown. They aren't the usual MAC flip top pots, as well.
