Any clue why they would put the eyeshadows up on the site a week early but not the lipsticks? Has anyone heard anything?

I was just at a Nordy's counter in in Southern California &the MA told me Matte2 & Mattene are being released tomorrow 9/20. I'd imagine this means all locations. She brought out a basket with all the products & I must say that the texture of the new e/s is soooo smooth & silky! The lipsticks felt really nice too! I'm more excited about these than I thought I would be.

This is weird. The NY PRO Store released today, my nearest counter said October 2nd and Queens Center Freestanding store said Sept. 27. I have a feeling the date for this collection is different for every location.

My freestanding store just told me over the phone that they have matte2s, but don't know if they'll be getting mattenes next week or the week after. They also said that mattenes will *not* be eligible for B2M. Ugh, I was hoping to B2M for a couple of them. Does that sound right?

Edited to say that I just confirmed the not-eligible-for-B2M in Live Chat. They also said Mattenes will not be on the web site until Oct.

Unfortunately, it is probably right in saying that they are NOT B2Mable. Slimshines weren't either, at least at the stores and counters that I shop at.

Yep, Mattene is not eligable for B2M. But, since all stores have different rules

Oh, I am SO happy I have a bunch of B2Ms to take in because I am dying for Pen n Pink and Poison Pen! I just adore matte shadows so this is my dream collection!

Meh...I'm a big fan of matte shadows, but this collection left me desiring something more. I commend MAC for not doing a ton of boring neutral mattes (even though that is what I personally would have preferred), but did they really need to come up with THREE dark purple/purple tinged shades in ONE collection? Pen and Pink I was looking forward to, and I might go back for it, but on first glance it was too chalky-pink. Not the texture, the color--the texture is very nice on all of these. Blanc type, I already have a similar shade in Bobbi Brown. I'm not a fan of crazy brights so I didn't really look at those, Flourishing was too muddy for me, and the browns were all way too warm except Copperplate, the only one I actually bought. Prussian had some SERIOUS color payoff and was very long lasting, but blues look too 80s on me. Le sigh.

I went and checked out the collection today, and while I liked a few of the shades, the collection for the most part was just ok for me. The texture is heavenly, but the colors didn't knock my socks off. Post Haste looked identical to Passionate on me. I swatched them side by side, and could not tell a difference. Clarity is similar to electric eel, but EE has a little more green to it. I actually prefer EE (colorwise). The purple shades were nice, but 2 of them had the potential to look bruisy on me. I might go back for Poisen Pen and Blanc Type. I did pick up Pen-n-Pink, Newly Minted (which is a beautiful shade of aqua, and fairly unique) and Prussian. The color payoff and lasting power of these shadows is phenominal. I had to get a wet wipe to get them off my hands, a tissue wasn't cutting it! I hope they come out with more colors!

How does Clarity compare to Felt Blue? From the picture, they look pretty similar.

I think I may go back and buy Newly Minted. I am thinking about it. It is such an individual green. For Mattene, I need to go back and try them on my lips. I was such in a rush, I got only got swatches for you guys,

, and did not try them on. But, they are SO creamy!

I've got to go see these especially the greens. I was told they feel like the new pro colors that came out in July and those are like butter, so silky. I love the Bottle Green and Indian Ink.

I just looked at the swatches for the lippies that were posted... Is it just me or do all the ones that sounded like they were really RED turn out to be kind of pink? I really hope those pictures aren't that true to life. I had high hopes that I might finally find my perfect red...

The reds were beautiful! You will find your perfect red! There is some plum reds, red reds and pink reds! Do not worry, they are powerful stuff!
