MAC - Metal Urge Collection Discussion

I'll probably pick up at least one of these, just to try it. Pink Platinum is calling my name as well as MAYBE Forged Rose. I have tons of LLL to use as bases for these, so it seems like a fun experiment.

As for the piggies, I have Cocomotion, so I'll see if I can get Gold Mode and Spiritulize (?) as samples.

I'm SO excited for these, since I missed the original release

And if I would use the liner under it as a base for the base?
greengrin.gif

I always use an eyeshadow base but could the shadows be used over the base and under regular e/s?

I just said that if I would use a base for the hopefully new base would the base help the hopefully new base to act like a base so that it is a good base for some regular e/s that need a base!

No no noooooo. The Metal Urge (or Metal-X) shadows are intended to be used as a shadow, not as a base. TDoll has done a fantastic tutorial on her YT page and she used Liquidlast liner as a base, then used these as normal shadows. That's supposed to help the staying power because it stops oily lids creasing the shadows, or something like that.

Too freakin funny. I was over here like huh!

But yeah I was one of those that wasn't going to buy anything but even that Pink is calling my name. I don't know if I like being a MAC addict. It's makes me sad when it's time to buy but makes me really happy once I have it. Help!

Thank you! I've seen the tutorial. It is amazing.
So.. if I would use the liquidlast liner and then these e/s can I still add some regular e/s on top? This pink platinum one sounds to yummy to pass.

Ummm... I guess so. I'm not sure how it would work out. The least you can do is try.

capmorlovesmac, you could use a good crease-resistant base like UDPP, a paint, etc. and then use this over that. You could then add normal powder shadow.

to bad 6th sin isn't coming out again

im tempted to get some of the e/s but it just seems like a lot of work to keep it from creasing so might as well just pass on them. i might consider a liquidlast liner or two though.

Dear everyone: The metal-x shadow used directly on eyelids do not only crease on oily lids. My lids are so not oily that I can use NO BASE and my shadows will not crease (though they do fade in time), but metal-x shadows crease on me.

Nothing in the world creases quite like these bitches.

Thanks,
S
