So I picked up this foundation and the 130 today. Haven't tried it out yet though but I'm excited for morning to see if I like it and to play around with it. I already LOVE the 130 though. I have a thing for flat top brushes though.

(We are both the same skintone and have oily skin and since we live in FL where it's SUPER humid, I need to stay away from anything that isn't matte).

It felt nice on and the coverage was pretty decent, but I wasn't impressed with it. I ended up taking it off and getting another bottle of Studio Fix Fluid and some Prep + Prime powder instead.

Just thought I would share my experience for anyone who's wondering how this foundation would be on oily skin

If you live somewhere dry, or like that dewy look, it might work, but I just really HATE that shiny look it gives me. HTH

i get an oily forehead as the day goes on so i always keep a stash of the blotting sheets in my bag
smiles.gif
luckily my skin is dry everywhere else, so it doesn't really look dewy on me

Yeah I have oily skin but I'm from Texas so we don't get humid like ya'll do over there. So far this foundation hasn't been that bad! I remember when I went to Florida 2 years ago and oh my goodness my skin freaked out! I don't blame you for the matte look because I was sooo shiny! And I never broke out so bad either but that may have been the sunscreen... but it was soo nice and relaxing there!

i love going to florida (going back in 2 months time!) but yes the humidity is insane. i tend not to bother wearing foundation over there... it looks like poop after 5 minutes outside!
tong.gif
however this year i may try my revlon colour stay... that might be ok? my hair is another issue.... it goes into a bush! seriously it'll like fine when indoors... but step outside and within minutes it's grown twice the size outwards!

Yeah NW25 was my match too, though it was slightly dark. I was gonna go back for this foundation late spring but after reading what you think about it, I think I'm gonna pass. I have combo skin but Ottawa is so frigging humid in the summer that I think the foundation might fail on me. I guess I'll stick to MUFE F&B for the summer.

I still want the 130 though

I have MAC's translucent powder but it won't last forever, and I like the words "super cheap"!

Just how cheap?

Go in places where they sell theater makeup, they usually carry Ben Nye and Krayolan and what not.

I am glad you feel my pain LOL... If I am going to be outside a lot, sometimes I just wear MSFN or Studio Fix powder because the humidity just turns liquid foundation into a hot mess LOL. And girl, my hair does the same thing down here! But I finally found a great hairspray for humidity- Redken 23!

I did like the feel of it on. I could see it working with oily skin, just not for me in FL humidity and my preference for no shin whatsoever

My parents live in a city as humid as Florida (Miami, Orlando) but hotter (35°C/95°F average)... so here are my

For your hair: Fluide Oleo Relax by Kerastase. It is an oily serum that controls frizz and nourishes your hair. Leave in, use after washing and towel drying your

If you have colored hair (or highlights) Huile Généreuse or Sérum Aprés Soleil (also by Kerastase) will be .

For extreme oily face: Milk Magnesia, as a primer just after your whole face routine. Just in oily areas as it's really drying. It gives you the most perfect matte finish without break out. I know it's weird, but it's cheap and worth the try.

For availability of Milk Magnesia in your country:
Bayer HealthCare Worldwide

For Milk Magnesia MUA reviews:

Hope I helped!!

Could any pale girls tell me how the NC15 and NW15 are? I would love to try this but I'm worried it'll be too dark for the winter.

I wear NC15 in Studio Sculpt and I actually matched up in either NC15 or NW15, I went with the NW15 this time tho. For some reason I liked the coloring on that one better then the NC. Hope that helps!

I got the 130 today and thanks so much to the ladies that told me the Sonia was nothing like it. I ordered the brush online on Sunday and had gone to Target to get a couple things and had another look at the Sonia one yesterday. I can say I agree with you that it is nothing at all like it. The sonia one is much more dense and shorter bristled. So thanks again!! I havent tried the brush yet since it just got here

Hi Ladies,

I bought the new foundation & the brush. I LOVE the way the foundation looks when i leave my house in the morning. A few hours into work & i notice my face looks shiney/greasy. I have combination skin. In the morning i put the foundation on, put MSF natural over it & spray with fix+...am i doing anything wrong?? is it just the foundation?? i've tried using the oil control lotion under it & my nose, chin & fore head are still shiney.

This is why I passed on the foundation. My MA said that this was the way this foundation was suppose to be, it's not suppose to be Matte
ssad.gif
So even if you use powder, it will still end up giving you a dewy look. I would skip the Fix + and see if that helps. Or try a translucent powder (like the Prep + Prime or Sephora has a good one by Allison Rafael) before your MSFN. If those tips don't help, the foundation might not be working for you

not only does it have a natural satin finish, but when you apply the MSFN, and then do fix+, the fix+ is taking away the powder look, leaving you right back to where you started, with a natural satin finish.

you're prolly more oily than you thought, rather than combination. if you don't enjoy the "dewy" look, i'd say pass on this foundation and go with something like SF or SFF instead.

Have you tried Studio Fix Fluid? I wear NC15 in both... which I find run dark.

I am regularly matched as NW15 which I usually feel is a tad dark for me - sometimes I feel somewhat orange which means I can see the foundation on my face.

But with this new Mnieralize Foundation I do not have the problem. As someone already said - when you put it on you have to remember where you have already put it because it is just that incredible
winks.gif
Just like your skin but better
yes.gif

I would not be afraid to try it if I were you. I was worried about the finish and that it would make me look oily/shiny but setting it with MSFN takes most of the dewiness away and leaves you with this amazing natural looking finish...

Sigh...

I am still in love with this foundation as you can probably tell from my ramblings

So I was really skeptical of the 130 brush...it looked so small and I wasn't sure I really needed it...And honestly, after I bought it, it sat around for probably a week before I actually tried it. But I used it yesterday with my Select Cover Up Concealer and it worked like a charm - blending the concealer around my nose and jawline into a flawless finish. Because the brush is so dense, it really gave me good coverage. (not sure I would use this for creme blush, it seems like it would put on too much color..?)

Overall though, I was really pleased and glad I picked it up. I have a lot of brushes from a lot of brands, and have to say, this brush is definitely unique - I don't have anything else like it. I wish it weren't so expensive because I would consider picking up a second one. But $38 is a little tough to swallow.

Also, because it is so dense, it took forever to dry after I washed it.
