I agree with you on the greasy part. Even swatched on my hand it leaves behind a "glossy" look. Not flattering at all. Sadly, I'm sending mine back. Sigh.... It looked so good on paper (or Internet!).
Thanks for posting this. I think I'm going to go to my Nordies and grab a sample and try it out before I buy it. I have dry skin but I don't want it to look greasy.

I keep reading about how it was used for fashion week and I just keep asking how? Under the lights and heat? I would think it would just slide off the models faces onto the beautiful clothes!

I can't tèll you how many things I've purchased from MaC online and this is the first time I have considered returning something. I can't believe that MAC not only won't let you return to freestanding stores but makes you pay return shipping!

I'll try this someday. I don't mind shine though since most powders are usually pretty matte and counteract it (as long as it doesn't become really greasy again after or quickly). It's probably due to all the moisturizing properties as well.

It is frustrating to have to pay for return shipping. :(

I got a sample today and I put it over my makeup this afternoon and it wasn't greasy on me but I have dry skin and it was over my makeup (which had worn off). I really liked it but ill know for sure tomorrow. I posted this on the mineralized rich lipstick page but thought I'd post it here too. This is nc20 with a cream highlighter on my cheek bones and some blush. Oh and with Grande Dame lipstick too.

Anyone considering trying this foundation please try a sample of it before you purchase if possible. I always suggest doing this before committing to any new foundation. Mineralize products are going to work best for people that have normal to dry skin, I never really recommend them for people with oily skin unless you are looking for a dewy look. This foundation is meant to be extremely hydrating and nourishing to the skin. I would definitely not call it greasy, and it is sheer to medium coverage. The coverage can be built on, and as is any liquid foundation, it is best to set with some sort of powder. I absolutely love this foundation, the look of the season is dewy fresh skin, that looks as if you have little to nothing on. This foundation does a great job of achieving that while still providing a good bit of coverage and moisture.

So I tried it again today using my hands only and it went on MUCH better and for whatever odd reason it didn't appear greasy like it did yesterday. It is definitely light coverage and while it feels nice, I'm still not in love with it though I can't quite put my finger on why. I will say that I love the color match, nw25 isn't too yellow or pink, a really great neutral. I'm probably going to keep it and continue to work with it to figure out how best to apply it.

Totally agree. I'm wearing my sample today and I love it. BUT I have pretty dry skin naturally so this hydrates but gives me coverage and doesn't feel sticky like the Face and Body does.

Hi meaghanb123 andmymacaddiction,

What is your skin type, may I ask? I was curious since you both said it looked too glowy on you. Thanks!

My skin type is normal. I used to think it was oily until I stopped using so many drying face products (sounds crazy I know). When I started adding much more moisture to my skin, it stopped over producing oil. Now, it's neither oily, nor dry, so normal? The strange thing is, it really made me LOOK dry by accentuating dryness that was not visible prior to applying it. It could be my application. I used a kabuki type brush. I really, really wanted to love it because I am looking for something more natural and glowy. True match lumi looks better on me. The video link above really makes it look lovely. Maybe I need that brush. Lol!

So far no MAC foundation has been moisturizing enough, but my hopes are up slightly for this one. I'm going to have to get a couple samples and see...

I'm about half done with my Lancome Renergie Lifting Foundation and sephora no longer carries it. Lancome still makes it, but i'm too lazy to make a long trip to a department store when there's a sephora about 1 mile from my house and a stand-alone MAC about 10 minutes drive. So i'm looking for a replacement. It took me 2 years of trying nearly every liquid foundation in sephora (!!!) to find the Lancome - they were too pink or too yellow. I like the new Urban Decay Naked Skin and the NARS Sheer Glow samples. But i'm not ready to commit yet. So i'll test this MAC...

Did you try the cream foundation MAC makes in the compact? (Studio Tech) I was a greasy mess on me this summer but maybe it would work for drier skin. I was planning to re-try in the Winter (about this time of year) when its still cool and my face is needing the extra moisture.
