I picked up a couple samples at my local MAC today, NC15 and NC20. I'm normally between the two. The SA said that this foundation tends to oxidize a bit, so the NC15 will probably be a better color, assuming it doesn't go yellow or orange. I haven't worn them on my face yet, just tested them on my inner arm. So i'll report back after i give them a run.

That probably won't be until Monday or Tuesday at the earliest, since i'll be away at a special even this weekend, recreating a visit to courtly villa in 1570s Ferrara, Italy, complete with a feast composed of dishes from that time.

So far no MAC foundation has been moisturizing enough, but my hopes are up slightly for this one. I'm going to have to get a couple samples and see...

I'm about half done with my Lancome Renergie Lifting Foundation and sephora no longer carries it. Lancome still makes it, but i'm too lazy to make a long trip to a department store when there's a sephora about 1 mile from my house and a stand-alone MAC about 10 minutes drive. So i'm looking for a replacement. It took me 2 years of trying nearly every liquid foundation in sephora (!!!) to find the Lancome - they were too pink or too yellow. I like the new Urban Decay Naked Skin and the NARS Sheer Glow samples. But i'm not ready to commit yet. So i'll test this MAC...
Don't want to get it online? Lancome offers free UPS ground shipping on orders of $49 or more.

Got samples of this foundation in NC20 and NC25. Looking at them I'm thinking the NC25 is going to be the best bet, but I'll have a chance to test them out Sunday, if not tomorrow. Hoping I'm not disappointed!

NW10 actually looks like it would fit me perfectly! Seems like i'd need to go for the studio fix fluid instead of this, since its available in my color.. Hmm..

I know this is kinda off topic but had anyone ever tried desert essence concealer? I wanted to try light but I don't know if it's light enough for me.

ugh naked skin is making skin look even drier. sheer glow is not bad but again not even close to moisturizing.

you should try either lancome teint miracle - i have normal-dry skin and is my HG or YSL touche eclat that one is great for dry skin too

The video link above really makes it look lovely. Maybe I need that brush. Lol!
Are you using a damp brush to apply the foundation? Try spraying it with Fix+ or even just plain water so that it's only slightly damp, and not soaked. That might help with application.

Yes, I always spritz my foundation brushes with fix+. It seems to help them not soak up so much product. I also moisturized and primed with pure radiance (love that stuff). It went on smoother with my fingers. I just have an aversion to using my fingers! Lol!

Purchased this in NC30 today and now that I got home I realize that the tester the MUA tried on me oxidized too much and now it's too yellow for my skin tone. Too lazy to drive back to the MAC store to return it! It's BNIB, if anyone wants it I'll sell it for $25 shipped. PM if interested. :)

To begin with I want to say hello, because this is my first post here :) The day before yesterday, I got two samples from Mac, in NC25 and NC30, and I've already tried NC30. In my opinion it isn't too much greasy for my dry skin, but I'm used to use slightly oily foundations as Chanel Vitalumiere (but too oily for me) or l'oreal lumi magique (I like it). I wonder did you see a little sparkles in this foundation? I noticed that in my NC30 are little kind of silver sparkles... I don't prefer this kind of luminous so I want to ask, do I see good or it was (I hope) only my impression...? What else... generally I like this foundation and I think about purchase full bottle of it. The cover is for me light to medium but buildable, texture is light but a little creamy, generally I like it :) In my opinion, I can recomend it for really dry skin, not oily but dehydrated. And it really hydrates!

I'm still undecided on this foundation. I went back yesterday and picked up a sample of the NC15 because I felt like the NC20 was the wrong color after oxidizing. Boo. But I'm gonna keep trying. I haven't used my bottle of it yet... just the samples. I don't want to waste good product just cause I don't like it. Also, I feel like after it wears down that it gets splotchy. Which is not cute. Maybe it'll be different now that I have the NC15 though. It might wear down to my natural coloring better.

OK. I've decided to return it. I'm not as big of a fan of it as I thought I'd be. Bummer.

sorry to hear you didn't like the foundation stephy. even though i have normal skin, i have never been a fan of the more "hydrating" foundation formulas like my chanel vitalumiere aqua. i'll stick with my pro long wear!!

Still haven't tried my samples yet. Sorry

Nearly ran out of gas on a narrow twisty windy road through the mountains, with plenty of hairpin turns. Fortunately there was a gas station a few miles from the event site. The 1570s feast was spectacular! Everyone in appropriate clothing - the food was cooked from late 16th c. Italian recipes and served in the period manner - Yum! - with interludes of late 16th c music played live and followed by 16th c. dancing to more live music.

Slept in an unheated cabin - we had to bring our own bedding and anticipating the cold i brought several down-filled items, so i was warm and toasty.

Then i woke up yesterday morning with a flat tire. AAA found me pretty quickly, in our rustic event location (looked like the tow guy lived nearby), and put on one of those awful tiny spares. I live too far to drive home on the "donut", so i either had to get a new tire or fix the old one if that was possible. It wasn't easy finding an open tire shop on a Sunday. But i finally managed to find one and get my tire repaired. Was almost late to gamelan rehearsal Sunday afternoon. Whew.

So i'll try the foundation tomorrow.

BTW, the SA at my local MAC recommended mixing the Mineralize Moisture Foundation with Strobe Cream and she gave me a sample of that, too. That will make it more moisturizing, but will add sparkle. I don't know if it will have any effect on the oxidation...

Today I used up the rest of my sample of this foundation and I am not going to invest in the full size bottle. My skin is very dry and this foundation still leaves my face looking shiny almost greasy and Im just not a fan of this look. So no Mineralize Moisture foundation added to my collection.
