MAC Moody Blooms Collection (June 26, 2014)

Thanks for the swatches! My list has been cut significantly. Shadows are pretty, but think I def have colors simular in my stash. It's down to Blooming mad e/s, the two blackened fluidlines, and possibly a couple of the purple lippies. Will just have to see!

I like Quite The Thing! It's purplish, Sweet Grenadine is orange/coral, Pleasurefruit is a very pretty pink-orange-red, and Insanely It is a nice deep pink. I'll swatch them for you as soon as I get a chance. What are your favorite colors?

I'm a fan of Sheen Supremes. My favorite is Sheer Mandarin, which is a really offbeat pale yellow orange. Patted into the lips it almost reads nude, but not quite. It's a staple lipstick in the summer for my NC15 skin. Huge fan of Sweet Grenadine too, super juicy tangerine coral - that one was LE. Another coral SS that I'm crazy about, and is probably my most used next to Sheer Mandarin is Full Speed, which is a super duper bright warm pink coral - so fun for summer. I don't own Gotta Dash, but that's a nice softer coral peach that I keep wanting and holding off on, since I've got similar colors now, like Fresh & Frisky Huggable. For a lavender mauve, there's always Asian Flower and for bright orange red, everyone loves Korean Candy.

I'm glad to see more are coming in with this collection! Gonna definitely be getting at least Phosphorescent and Lust Extract. I did get to see one of the promo pics and she's wearing an extremely dark plum/purple lipstick, almost black. I wonder if that's Venomous Violet? I am sort of sworn off buying lipstick online before trying it, but it was a pretty hot looking color, like a little warmer, darker Potent Plum.

I wore Full Speed to a spring ball. It looked great with my peach and lilac duochrome gown. I think I'm only picking up eyeshadows in this collection.

It's lovely - I am looking for a bottle green teal that will look good on me and compliment my eyes, rather than compete with them like a lot of greens do. Hope this one is it!
DF is such a gorgeous color, with a beautiful pink duochrome quality and so much depth. I love it worn with plum, purple and dark bronze liners. Our Secret and Dark Diversion are two I love with it. It also is nice paired with paler mauve shadow. I never BU shadows, but I'm seriously considering it with DF - it's really the best of all the coppery-brownish shadows I own.


I need to pair DF with cool toned colors to make it wearable for me because it is quite warm toned.But with black and deep purples it very pretty

I was reading this and decided to check out my SS stash. I noticed that on mine, too. Actually it's the same on several of mine. I think they were all LE.

The lipglass tints are nice, too. I recently used Simply Wow for the first time and it's gorgeous! I'll swatch that and Gwi-Yo-Mi if anyone is interested.

I know. Pigments are just too much work for an everyday basis. For me at least.

I completely agree! Especially with a curious 2 year old that likes to watch me do my makeup, it's risky business too!

I had Fashion City too but I Back to Mac'ed it because it didn't stay on me for more than hour. Burberry Delicate rose is similar and not as mush as a pita to deal with.

Now that I know Quite the Thing is not blue based or violet at all, I'm over it. I was really imagining a sheen supreme version of Punk Couture, which I though could be more wearable. Not gonna give up hope, though. At least one of these lippies has gotta be a winner, for me.

June 17th! Yay for June babies!!

Out of all the birthday talk going on between threads I finally found my birthday twin!!


but UMM how did I miss this? I was in love at the beginning of the thread- I'm into anything blackened or deep....but seeing Quite The Thing made me a little unsure...in what way is that "deep blue plum" ?? Whatever. Unfamiliar with SS so not sure how I feel about them- I'm guessing I won't be a fan but hoping I will be pleasantly surprised.

However that Green Room is coming home with me for SURE. I am thinking Artistic License, too. someone compared it to expensive pink, right? I have to try and find them side by side...

I'm also into the plum fluidline but it depends on how much color shows through, like others have said.

Can't wait until we get a swatch of Phosphorescent...it sounds like the PERFECT color for me. Hopefully it'll be sort of a mix of Betty Bright and Watch Me Simmer,.
