Yes, the date in the thread title is almost always the in store release date. The online release is unpredictable. It sometimes launches a week before, and other times a few days before.
Ah, ok. So maybe it will release on my birthday! Probably not though. Fingers crossed

I'm not the only one who was all willy nilly about DF. Elegant-One was a big fan too, if I recall correctly, and she's got an NW complexion, so it's one of those colors that works for everyone! There are quite a few things I'm anticipating from this collection! My #1 anticipation is Dark Ivy & Nightshade. No doubt in my mind they won't be awesome. The only thing that could possibly go wrong is if they are on the sheer side, but they sound blackened enough that that won't be an issue. #2 anticipation is Blooming Mad. Mid-tone ultra violet sounds like the most perfect flattering color for me. I've been hoping for a color like this for a long, long time! #3 is a tie between Phosphorescent and Lust Extract. Love the names and will love the colors if they are crazy bright. I bet Moody Bloom will be beautiful too. I will probably get Green Room, although there isn't a green on earth I can buy before trying.  I just wore Blushing Berry yesterday, in anticipation. I forgot how long wearing and comfortable that formula is. I had it on the whole day without any fading or feathering. It didn't change color either. Maybe my lip pH is more stable than when these came out. That wouldn't surprise me.
Yes, Blooming Mad sounds beautiful, too!

Until maybe 10 years ago, when i lost my favorite very fine-pointed eyeliner brush - which i got it in Japan in 1972 - i only used cake liner, mostly in dark brown or slightly shimmery bronze brown. I like tight-lining, have been since 1962 or so. Thick lines make my eyes look smaller.

Fluidlines are great and i have too many of them already

. I use a very fine pointed brush with somewhat stiff white Taklon bristles. With it i can control exactly how fine the line is, and build it up if i want to. Mine is some nameless brand i bought a long time ago from Coastal Scents. Nothing wrong with it per se, but i'd like an even finer brush. I'm thinking about getting a MAC 209 or 210 brush.

Ouch, this collection comes out shortly before our music and dance group goes to Bali for 2-1/2 weeks of intense rehearsals and performances. My flight leaves on the 27th, but that's at 1 AM, so the 26th is going to be a loooong day. I will definitely be in a state of nerves!

I hope MAC has nothing of interest to me in July, since i'll be out of the country until the 19th. Then 4 days after i get back i head out on a long drive (2,650 miles) to go medieval camping for 2 weeks followed by the long drive home. And then a week and a half after i get home in mid-August i have another long drive (2,100 miles) to teach some medieval cooking classes in Wisconsin. I drive because i have to bring nearly all the cooking equipment i will need and unusual ingredients that i wouldn't know how to find - or maybe could not find - where i'm teaching. It'll be grueling but fun. But i think in September i will need a vacation from my vacations. I wish i knew what MAC has in store for us in Aug. and Sept...

Bali, though! That's in my top 10 of places I want to visit.
I began playing Balinese and Javanese gamelan and dancing in the 1970s, then i majored in Southeast Asia in an interdepartmental grad program, with a focus on Indonesia. I think Bali is even more interesting when one understands the culture to some extent. I've never been into hanging out on beaches, to me it's more interesting to wander thru the markets, to visit temples, etc. Balinese culture is really special.

I haven't been there since the late 1970s, so i'm excited to go back. I'll only have a couple free days, though, since we'll be rehearsing or performing most of the time we're there, or traveling on narrow windy roads to villages where one of our teachers was from to perform. We have four ensembles and i'm in two of them. People in only one ensemble will have a lot more free time.

Here are the members of 2 ensembles (including me) and some of the dancers, including some children, taken after a performance last month. There will be about 70 people going on this tour.

If you wanted to go outside of MAC, you may want to check out some of the Louise Young brushes. Namely, LY23 through 25. http://louiseyoungcosmetics.com/eyedefining.php And on Nordstrom... I use a 000 brush with white taklon bristles. It's an artist supply product and THE best eyeliner brush I have had the pleasure of owning. I have 6 in rotation.. and they are inexpensive.

I will post comp pics when I have a minute to ease into my life again.

Real Techniques have introduced a new eyeliner brush - it has a silicone tip rather than bristles, and it's getting good reviews. I might have to give it a try.
