Did you look bad in Caliente and Thrills and Funbathing and colors like that? Or warm nude colors? It's got all of those in it, so if this isn't up your alley, try before buy. I doubt it's going to fly off the shelves in stores, because it doesn't look the same just glancing at it in the tube or on the back of the hand than on the lips.
Awww Thrills

I backed up Caliente - i loved the color and the finish.
I'm on the fence about Oh Oh Oh, i have to be careful about my eye shadow and blush with it or it pulls orange on me.
So Moody Bloom could be good or it could be enh...

As for color "popping" without shimmer or glitter - i wonder if there's something UV sensitive in there, which would make it "pop" more in daylight or under black light... Then there's that light reflective quality about NARS and some other face powders - maybe it's that...

I'm actually a little on the fence about Copperthorn. It's fussy to apply - if you don't swipe it on in one perfect swipe, any extra brush work instantly causes fall-out and general bad, uneven glitter effect. Plus it completely dominates any other eye or face makeup you might want with it. I like extreme makeup and even I can't see myself wearing it that often, since it's so statement, it'd instantly peg me as "that chick with the glitter eyes" if I wore it to the same place twice.

BI will look amazing on you!!! You could wear it all year round.

MB is gorgeous too, but it is definitely on the sheerer side, for those who only do opaque lipstick. It might not show all of its amazingness on very thin lips, too, but in that case, the sheerness is actually an advantage. It runs rather warm too, so pale NWs might have to try with caution, but I don't think that'll be too huge of an issue overall.
Thank you for this warning!

That' s what I was afraid of and will definitely better skip MB.

Drastically different finish. I'd say imagine deconstructing all the different color elements in Caliente - the plum, the red, the gold, the bronze and instead picture them as a constantly shifting range of color blended into a sheer finish. It's like a custom car paint or those multichrome nail polishes that are getting more common, but also sheer. From some angles, you won't even see a color, maybe just sheerness with a wisp of deepening or a flash of bronze for a moment.

If MAC did an entire collection of just this sort of thing in 8 different colorways, I would lose my ever-loving mind. Single most OMGWTFBBQ moment I've had in makeup since I saw this crazy hot pink with violet shimmer mascara back in the 90's. Haha, I am going bananas here, just thinking about it. Sorry, please excuse my temporary madness.

FYI, I didn't see Venomous Violet, since that's not in-store. In the past, I haven't much cared for the darker SS colors and found them patchy. It sure looks nice from the swatch we have, but I'm not sure if I want to buy before trying and go through the stalking frenzy for it. I'd say if you were going to try one, Lust Extract might be purple enough to satisfy your purple love. It's very violet fuchsia, reminds me of a pinker Riri Boy, but very glowing.

OMG @liba your descriptions are making me drool! Thank you for the in depth review...although you have NOT helped shorten my list! In fact, added to it! Was not planning on getting MB lipstick but your description has done me in. Aside from the shadows I already have, and the blushes(WW is so pretty but being NW15- although leaning very close to neutral- don't think it will work for me) I'll be getting most of the lipsticks, shadows and fluidlines, Oh my poor wallet!

I don't mind sheerness. But MB does sound like it might not work on me. But I can wait for future multichrome goodness down the road. So excited for BI!

Thank you so much for your review, I am definitely getting Copperthorn and BI. Because of my contract ending at work next week, I have to watch what I'm spending. So I'll have to do the low buy

As much as I'm excited for this collection I don't think it'll be as crazy as Alluring Aquatic or Osbourne - at least I hope not!! I feel like I maybe won't have to stalk this collection all night! (But I could be wrong and will likely stalk anyway! Haha)
