Hey everyone!
I just got done experimenting on OLDER eyes with Peacocky shadows- and OMG the difference- that is where it really shows up. No accenting of the crepe factor on lids, and such a gorgeous glow that it brings older eyes to life- I am talking 80+ here. I keep begging people to let me mess with these on their faces and the results are fabulous!

These eyeshadows are to eyes what MSFs are to faces- magic.

I have been writing really big in depth reviews on every color as I get a chance and I have been putting up photos of comparison swatches and photos of it used on the eyes too.

I just put up another one tonight that I have not listed yet here. I put up a few comparison swatches too.

http://www.viewpoints.com/MAC-Mega-...alisque-from-Peacocky-Collection-review-d41b7

(not my site, I don't get money for anyone reading reviews, anyone can write reviews on anything there for free with up to 12 photos per item, and I am just posting this because you are all as detail oriented as I am and some of you have not been able to see these in person yet)

That thing that is captivating me is the gorgeous glowy factor of these shadows on the skin- and also used wet or with damp brush they last longer than when used dry, although dry is long lasting too.

Gosh, it is so hard to put into words why these are the only shadows MAC has released that have made me this excited EVER.

Using it on very mature lids was so exciting- I can not rave enough about this- so beautiful!!!
I don't think I'm near the 80+ you're referring to, but I do find that if I use a heavy hand with these shadows, I get accentuating of the crepy factor.

I'm using Peek at You and Top of the Posh - do you think I might have better luck with some darker shades? I was afraid to try anything darker (like Centre Stage) and frostier (like Prance.)

Also, did you use a primer first?

I have been having very good results using a flat synthetic brush, sprayed with fix+. That gets me the smoothest finish on my lid, whether it's lighter, darker, or one of the more metallic. I don't do whole application damp, but I've been liking the results applying damp to the center and inner lid.
I know this wasn't addressed to me, but I thought I would throw that out there. :)

Darnit, Had high hopes for Enchantee, it looks great on me and I love the color and opaqueness (first time I've really worn a blue pink) BUT it gave me that lovely white lines on my lips today. Arg! I am being punished for not getting Gaga l/s (which seems like it would be the perfect bluepink with my skintone)?

On the bright side I wore Dalliance on the lid, bottom part of the lid with Ego, and outer V with Mating call...pretty combo. One great things with these shadows...when you layer them the color on top covers completely, very cool!

I was at the MAC counter today, and tried again to love these shadows. I just don't. I did end up buying Spectacle of Yourself, because after another look I did feel it my collection didn't have a color like it. I also bought Woo Me, so I am done with Peacocky.

Peacocky eyeshadows need a little more love!!! I love them all, I bought all of them and I'm pretty sure that I prefer these e/s over the regular e/s.
I think people will buy this at the CCO because they will be about $14.00 bucks!!

I have used these on various people so far and here is what I am finding.

If the lid is oily at all,
no base is needed and they will stay on reasonably well, unless the skin needs protection from eyeshadows due to sensitivities.

If the lid is dry or older,
a base helps- to smooth and lift, Tarte Lifted Primer is fantastic, but does not grab the texture of the shadow as well- however using a damp brush can help remedy that if you want more intense color.

To smooth the lids AND grab color, then I found using Tarte Lifted to lift and smooth the skin, and using Too Faced Shadow Insurance over that, it works really well and allows for good smoothing and blending still.

I have also tested this with Too Faced Shadow Insurance Candlelight which gives a gorgeous golden sheen and keeps the shadow in place all day with a good grab- yesterday mine lasted for 11 hours with no refreshing and all of the shadows stayed in place Top of the Posh, Odalisque, Spectacle of Yourself, and Prance (except Lucky Green which is a regular MAC shadow that I used as an accent which faded in a few hours)

Too Faced Glitter Glue seemed to do pretty well also, but I have to test it again to be sure, it did not seem to grab and hold the first trial.

I also tried several of the other shadows on an older woman without a base, and they did not go on very intensely at all, I wanted to use a base on her, but she already had on some foundation on her lids and did not want to have more. The shadows went on sheerly but still looked gorgeous.

So far that is what I have discovered with the shadows- the glowy texture of these on the lids make them worth going back to and working with a lot to find out how far I can push them and how they will perform in various ways.

Try getting Too Faced Shadow Insurance in Candlelight (it is a new one) and use it under Top of the Posh and Peek at You. It will help a lot. Peek at You is sheer- it is the sheerest of the collection best for highlighter.

singer82 ~ SoY is my absolute favorite of the 5 I got as far as color- It is really complimentary to my eyes/skin/hair color (skin is NC20ish, hair is freshly dyed to a kinda auburn- brown)

Very gorgeous look leeleebell!

I've seen a number of people mention 'Pixie Epoxy' as being a good eyeshadow base. I've tried googling and can't find anywhere it's sold in the UK. Does anyone else know? I'd like to give it a try

As far am I'm aware it's only available on Fyrinnae's site. They do ship internationally, however, the site seems to be out of action at the moment.
