Oh man, oh man ya'll ladies are killing me here
lol.gif
I haven't really bought anything from the recent MAC collections. I'm being very good by not going into the store and buying up a lot like before. However, I was in the city about a week ago (no MAC where I moved sadly =() and I saw this collection but for some reason I wasnt wowed by the e/s but I did liked some of the lipcolours (woo me and flauting it). I didnt buy either because I was only going there to get a back 2 mac and the Pro Longwear concealer (awesome product.) But im here reading and seeing pictures of these wonderful eye combo with the new e/s and I'm scratching my head saying, "Damn I should've gotten at least three things from this collection"
lol.gif
But I must resist the temptation because my eyes are on a Coach Purse I wanna get next week. Hmm, is that good enough reason not to buy anything now? Talk me out of buying any more makeup lmao. (yea like that is goin to happen hehe) much love to all of you. I missed you guys.

ShadowyLady: Nice avatar. Really sexy. Go on with your bad self =)

I concur, Noir Plum is nothing like #92. Completely different purples and I love them both. Oh and if you have Strike A Pose, leave Odalisque behind (just my opinion). I am out of my shadow funk! I'm going out and decided to give these babies another shot. I got Dalliance on the inner eye, Strike A Pose on the outer and Centre Stage in the crease. I love it! Every time I try a look that fails I get frustrated and swear off buying anymore shadow, but today has restored my faith.
Thank you for the response ladies. I don't have any of the shadows similar to Noir Plum then, good news :). I don't have Strike A Pose, does it mean I should get Odalisque?

Both as in Noir Plum and MUFE #92 or Noir Plum and Odalisque? I like both ideas though :D

Well that depends. Do you have Birds & Berries from Give Me Liberty of London, because B&B and Strike A Pose are nearly identical. So we are talking about double the duping power. And Odalisque is also realllly similar to Urban Decay's Haight (on my arm, they were exactly the same, but you know how that sort of thing goes), which I actually like better than Odalisque, so really it's triple the duping power. Also, you can use UD shadows wet as well and I think Haight has more oomph that Odalisque. Just some food for thought.

Hmm... I have none of any of them. The UD one sounds very promising, except that we don't have UD over here in Germany... I only have one teal shadow I like from ArtDeco. Thank you for your thoughts, I think it has taken away the sense of urgency I still get from LE collections. If I pass this, I would eventually get a nice teal somewhere :).

For anyone who was thinking of depotting their Peacocky shadows but hasn't been able to find a palette yet, I just found the Ben Nye 12 palette that fits these on evil-Bay for 9 bucks. It's actually from the Fun House Theatrical Store, if I understand it properly :) The item is listed as "Ben Nye Pressed Colour Empty Palette Makeup ESP-12", and the seller is funhousetheatrical. I'm sure most of you can find it elsewhere, but this was helpful to me, so I thought I'd pass it on! :)

Cutemiauw you should definitely get Odalisque if you don't have Strike a Pose. They are both gorgeous. Also, So Vain would look great on you, I think. It works on me. It's not milky or pale at all.

Did I read right that I shouldn't use a base with these? I always use udpp when i wear eyeshadow, so I was just wondering.

^^ I wear UDPP under these, and I find they last all day without creasing :) Some people have had lots of luck popping the colours with a base like Fyrinnae's Pixie Epoxy, and others still have found that they can wear these without a base and they fare really well. Totally up to your preference! :)

I think I saw the same palette on Stage Makeup Online and they also had palettes with 4 and 8 empty slots. They didn't mention the pan size but it was also called ESP-4/8/12 so it must be the same one. I can already see my megametal quad

^^ I have used udpp, nars or guerlain primers.. and they all work. Paint pots also work beautifully under these es and can change (deepend, add more glitter etc) them if you want that look.. or, use them wet and they will also last all day.

Ditto. I've used these with/without base. I've used UDPP, too faced, Fyrinnae epoxy, etc. It all depends on the look you want. I find there is no right or wrong. I typically want a base or I feel nekkid (ha, like that's a bad thing  ).

And I tell you, used wet, they form a whole nutha life.
I love the fact that these can be used wet. That alone makes me adore these shadows.

Jenn,
You have posted some beautisimous looks. I haven't been here in the last couple of days to tell you, but woman, you have some GORGEOUS eyes!!! (yep, plural and all.) And you are truly adorable in your full face shots.
congrats on your job!!

Thanks:) I didn't know you could use UD e/s wet. I was afraid I'd ruin them. I will be try that for sure.

Breakdown: the cost of UD es tablet is higher than a tablet of Peacocky

Very Very True. Pretty much all of my UD e/s either I purchased during a Sephora FF sale or was gifts. Some of them do not have much color payoff. Hopefully using them wet bring out more from them.

good luck ms macshadow.... sometimes if the colour payoff is not too good, then if used wet, you will cement the talc in the formula and it gets a hard surface.... try wetting a small part and see if that works if not you might ruin the whole shebang

Got SOY today.....

It is so gorgeous!!!! It looked amazing in the pan, I was in awe. I put some over the shadow I already had on (I had Mating call already on my lids from today.) And holly molly, love it! And it actually looked good with MC. Thanks to everyone for convincing me to get it. It's a deep bronze with a reddish tint on me, it's not too orange but I see a slight tint. I have no other colors like it, I am in LOVVVVE.
I also got my NC15 mineralize foundation today, I just love this foundation! I have pretty dry skin so it's good for me. And it matches better than NC20, which was the one I've worn for quite awhile. But to be fair, when I got matched it was spring.

ShadowyLady you were so right! It compliments my eye color very well.
