Its definitely black, that's for sure.
I won't buy them all. I won't buy them all. I'll try not to buy them all :haha:Three more days!!!
Determined to be good this time around and wait until they come out in store! I'm so over paying for shipping when there's a perfectly good MAC store a half hour away from me. And I doubt anything in this collection will sell out in the blink of an eye, so I don't think I'll have to fight through crowds (punch babies, kick puppies, that whole bit) to get my goodies. But since you'll probably get yours before I go to get mine, you'll have to tell me what your must-haves are once they're in your possession!Three more days!!!
Woohoo! I got to see this collection today! All of them were in except Midnight, which my MA feels is the nicest one. That would be saying something, because there are some real doozies in this batch, including a few that are less sparkly and more frosty, also some which are more opaque than they usually are. Some of the best ones are LE, but there's at least one that is eye-poppingly gorgeous that's going to be perm, so that's a good deal. Damson is so beautiful. I was actually wearing Venetian Tarnish today when I went into the store, which is seriously one of my top favorites of my entire eye shadow collection. Damson is like a deeper version of VT, with sparkles that are the same bronzy gold as VT. It's seriously opaque, which was impressive. I'm thrilled with it. Insta-buy. The other LE insta-buy for me is Pink Pepper. It's hotttttt. It's also very opaque and pigmented and it's VERY duochrome, with the brick pink base color and the very orange gold sheen. Not chunky at all. It reminds me of an old, old, old Shiseido eyeshadow I had in the 80's that was a mosaic of little chips of pink, orange, peach and frosty gold shadow all flecked together. I wore that one to death, so this was a major blast from the past for me. The third insta-buy is one that's going to stay perm, but I'm going to get mine right away because I cannot wait to wear it - Black Grape. Sexy, smokey, grayish, purplish, taupe - not so cool or pale as to be difficult for me to wear, like some taupes can be with my dark coloring around my eyes. This one is on par with Deeply Dashing for sexy and effortless and good for all occasions. They were very right to make this perm. I'm liking Lime Ice a lot. It's a beautiful seafoam green for sure. It's not grayish, the color is quite clear. It's also not pale or pastel at all like the pale green that came out with the last batch. Unfortunately for me, this is a sort of tough color for my coloring, since a lot of green shadows detract from my green eyes, rather than enhancing them. If you have blue or brown or hazel eyes, this color will be hands down fabulous. Green or grey eyes like me will be on the fence. From the right angles it was beautiful - not sheer either, though sheerer than some of the others in this group. I think with the right base underneath it would be more perfect for me personally. With the sea foam paint pot and the seafoam-ish grey green shadow in Indulge, this is obviously one of the "it" colors for fall from MAC, so I put Lime Ice on hold but am hoping I get a chance to see some of the others in person first. It's soooo close to what I want, but my coloring is just super picky with this particular type of shade. A lot of people are going to love Vanilla Diamond. It's so much less glittery than a lot of the pps - it's very smooth and sheeny. It's a very straightforward color, though - exactly how it's described. If you love a neutral color, this is very desirable - I'm sure it will sell out. I'll go over the other ones in a second post!

I'll go over the other ones in a second post!
Ok the other colors:
Summer Honey is pretty darn close in shade to Warming Heart, but it's a different texture - more opaque with a frosty sheen and less glitter. This is another one lots of people are going to go for, but it's something most people will already have similar colors to. It's a little peachier than Warming Heart, I'd say.
Moth is super sexy just like Black Grape - it's more purply and lighter. The color itself is warmer than Black Grape, but the sparkle in it is more obviously white, so overall it felt a bit on the cool side. Taupe fans rejoice, since it's going to go perm.
The description for Rock Candy as a mid-tone fuchsia is a little weird. It's not as bluish as I think of fuchsia. It's a warm pink, on the sheerer side. It's pretty but I'd rather go for Pink Pepper, since that one's LE and also more opaque and complex. If Pink Pepper is too warm for you, Rock Candy will work better.
Midnight wasn't in yet. I can't wait to see that one!!!
So far, this is still set to come out as planned rather than early, but we all know how that can change. I'm really happy MAC is heavily supporting the pressed pigments - they're gorgeous and only getting better. I mentioned those silicon applicators to my MA and he remarked that this time in training they were pushing them to use those as the recommended applicator, instead of brushes. I feel vindicated lol - those are the way to go for applying these babies!
