Luckily my list is still the same, although my wallet disagree's with that statement.
I have the base from LIT, I will definitely try that techniqueThanks for further trying to enable me Debbs! Lol. I'll admit I wasn't a fan of these when I first got them (Deeply Dashing & Light Touch) because of the glitter ball effect but since I've started using the Lit Cosmetics Clear glitter base I love using them. Might end up picking up a few of these if a color catches my eye.
They probably got the idea from you (knowingly or unknowingly). People read tips on here and spread them to others so maybe it trickled down eventually.Ok the other colors:
Summer Honey is pretty darn close in shade to Warming Heart, but it's a different texture - more opaque with a frosty sheen and less glitter. This is another one lots of people are going to go for, but it's something most people will already have similar colors to. It's a little peachier than Warming Heart, I'd say.
Moth is super sexy just like Black Grape - it's more purply and lighter. The color itself is warmer than Black Grape, but the sparkle in it is more obviously white, so overall it felt a bit on the cool side. Taupe fans rejoice, since it's going to go perm.
The description for Rock Candy as a mid-tone fuchsia is a little weird. It's not as bluish as I think of fuchsia. It's a warm pink, on the sheerer side. It's pretty but I'd rather go for Pink Pepper, since that one's LE and also more opaque and complex. If Pink Pepper is too warm for you, Rock Candy will work better.
Midnight wasn't in yet. I can't wait to see that one!!!
So far, this is still set to come out as planned rather than early, but we all know how that can change. I'm really happy MAC is heavily supporting the pressed pigments - they're gorgeous and only getting better. I mentioned those silicon applicators to my MA and he remarked that this time in training they were pushing them to use those as the recommended applicator, instead of brushes. I feel vindicated lol - those are the way to go for applying these babies!
That would be wild if it was true. My MA was saying they don't provide the applicators as part of the in-store brush kits, so that's kind of weird they were training everyone to promote using them. They really are fab, though…totally worth it to try. They probably got the idea from you (knowingly or unknowingly). Thanks so much Liba for sharing your thoughts! It is GREATLY appreciated!Ok the other colors:

My eventual list is
- Summer Honey-great with a darker coral shadow, me thinks
- Lime Ice-possibly would work with Zestful
- Rock Candy-Hoping this will be darker/show up better than Sweet Acting
- Pink Pepper-lots of ideas for this one
- Moth-cause its Mauve
- Black Grape-cause its Aubergine
Addict4MAC and Liba are convincing me that maybe I should think about Vanilla Diamond -_-
Rock Candy is the older style- sheerer with lots of glitter. I'd bear that in mind. It'd be pretty good for the cheeks, if you buff it in really well - you'd get a super wet-look sparkle effect, though, not shimmer.
You'll use your pressed pigments so much more now!! Also, I've definitely used the applicators more times than the recommended - I wipe them off right after use, then use a little water to wash them after a few uses. I keep one for lighter colors and one for darker colors, which also helps.
VD (yeek) will certainly be good for pale skin. It's a standard very pale cream color - like the Marilyn one. Really great texture, though!
They are $12 on the website. You're doing a great job at being strong....I have a feeling I'm going to cave on my no buy until September lolCan't wait to see everyone's haul as I won't be picking up mines until mid Aug when I go to get a sneak peek at Indulge. Loving Liba's description of Pink Pepper and Itsbcuzirock's pic of Midnight. Those two are definites as well as four others. I used the 6pk applicator thingies today with Spot Lit. I thought that I could only pat it on but those applicators are really the bomb . Great control and flexibility, I was able to do much more than patting!!! I bought them over 6mths ago based on Liba's recommendation and waited all this time to finally use them. I don't remember exactly but I think they were just under $13.
Oops! Totally didn't register. I think I'll spell that one out from now on!Yeah, Vanilla Diamond may sneak in. Just afraid I may go over six! When I saw Addict4Mac's abbreviation VD I had to chuckle to myself. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't want VD for free much more to buy it, lol
Would you mind sharing your technique?
..c'mon how can you not want Vanilla Diamond! Hehe...![]()

It helps a lot! thank you!I used a really light application of Shell CCB as a base then a tad bit of TF Shadow Insurance Glitter Glue then just picked up a bit of the PP and applied as you would any regular shadow. I used the extra base just to ensure that there was no fall out. The glitter glue helped the pigment to adhere much better as it is slightly sticky. I am rushing to get ready for a training class at work so will explain better next time. HTH
