When I was in the store today, the Coral Crepe was creamy and easy to apply. I think I would exchange it if the consistency did not work for me.

I am curious, what did you wear it with?

Thanks for the tip. I am not crazy about about fix+ even though I do own one. I have a mist and fix by mufe that's pretty good. I might try that. I actually find Coral Crepe to be shimmery, though. I can definitely see it in there, even just looking at the pot.
I applied it over Too Faced Shadow Insurance. I thought that was a good idea since it would probably crease on me. I have dry skin, but since the shadesticks crease on me w/o a base, I assumed a paint pot would also. Maybe I will try Coral Crepe again w/o a primer.

I have Hipness, so I will compare that to Instant Chic and IC to Shy Beauty as well, and take pics

Shontay, I find your issues with paintpots to be the same as my issues with paint pots. That's why I sold off all of the ones I had. I wanted to love them, but they were just too much of a PITA to work with, and made blending a chore. I felt like I had concrete on my eyelids, and my shadows didn't lay and blend well. I am just a Bare Canvas Paint girl through and through

Actually it's a pretty damn good substitute for both. Maybe a slightly closer dupe for Hey. I actually wore Hey today and it was nice. Not necessary, though. That's why I'm skipping TW. You have a couple of highlighters, you really have them all.

Ugh. That's so discouraging, but thanks for responding Audrey. The color is so pretty, but the product itself is horrible! What a waste. I guess I can only hope MUFE does a coral color shadow/liner. I just bought a bright orange one. Bummer.

Really? Paint pots are my go to primer. I never have any problem with them Maybe they just blend on because I have an oily lid. My shadows blend and stay on pretty well too. That is so interesting.

When I buy my Coral Crepe pot, I am going to check it out when I get home to make sure its right! Did you wear a color over it, or just alone?

I wore it alone.

I have no problems with Painterly. I use my fingers to apply. I think the trick is to apply a small amount and blend quickly, so if you were trying to build color, maybe using too much was the problem? It doesn't take much to get coverage with Painterly but maybe Coral Crepe is more sheer?

Agreed. I was just thinking about that today. How they release new paint pots, but no paints. I think I need to send another whiney e-mail telling them to release old paints (like Matisserie, Infamous, Hot + Sour, Magrittes, Shimma, Blueboy, etc...with collections) and come up with some new ones. Paints are one of my favorite MAC items and they DO NOT CREASE on me!!

Can you imagine if they release Flammable, Hot + Sour, and Tan Ray with To The Beach? Those colors would fit perfectly with the shadows.

It just seemed stiff when I tried to apply it to my eye. It took a lot to get the coverage I wanted to the point where my lids were looking kind of wrinkle. I guess that's from the pressure I applied, I don't know. Then it was hard to blend out. It's like it was set in stone. And honestly, I don't know if it's the best color on my eyes. It's so gorgeous on my hand, but on my eyes I think it's a little harsh. I don't know. Anyone have any tips on how to deal with these paint pots? I only have the MUFE cream liners which are way creamier and easier to blend. Such a bummer.

Shontay and Sharon, I find PP best to apply with the 252. The bristles are perfect for the texture and the coverage is fine.

I've 8 PP and really love them, alone or as a base. I can't wait to try the new MUFE PP

also try the paint pot by itself, without another eye shadow base because that might make it too dry to blend out. how does this coral pp compare to rubenesque? i'm so curious to see it!!

^^I have that one, and I rarely wear it. But it is one of the few pinks I can wear without looking infectious. Probably because it's a silver-based pink. MAC Paints are just so delicious.
