I've been wearing Coral Crepe everyday since I picked it up!!
th_e2cloud9.gif
It looks good with purples, pinks, corals, orange, golds, bronzes, browns, and grey! I've yet to try it with Sumptuous Olive but I'll bet that it's gonna look great with it too!! I can't get enough of this p/p!!
yahoo.gif
I really, really, really hope that MAC eventually makes this perm!!!!!!

Still love everything I got from this collection. My store still has coral crepe. I was sooo close to buying another one

. I played with Cut to Fit. It does seem a lot better for me than Antiqued and Coppering. I may pick it up eventually if it's still around.

My favorite combination with Hot Hot Hot is a sunset style makeup with Bright Future on inner lid, HHH in the middle, Romping on outer corner and Vibrant Grape on crease.

That sounds so pretty! I'm going to try that!

Winnie, I specifically recall at 22 years old stating that I did not want to get married at least till I was 30. One month later, I started dating a great guy. By 24 i was married (finished university that same year) and had two kids by 30. Just saying, ya never know what can happen tomorrow.

Back on topic, I'm quite disappointed that i'm getting a lot of creasing with coral crepe.

I bought Gazette Grey, have used it once, but I honestly don't know what to do with it- it's grey and green, two colors I don't wear a lot!

Oh dear. I've never tried paint pots before, but I have terribly oily lids. I hope it won't crease on me (but I have a feeling it might). How's the staying power of p/p compared to s/s?

Off topic a little, thanks for the advice everyone! I will try not to worry so much about the future. But it's hard 'cause my mum wants me to settle down over the next few years. She also disproves of my decision to undertake the PhD degree, because she thinks it is a waste of time (and money) that will hamper my chances of starting a family. She is always sitting me down and asking me to rethink my decision, which is giving me undue stress. Not that she has ever shown support for anything I do. It almost feels like she is living my life for me. Arrgh!

Yes I know that I'm only 23 now, but in a couple of years' time (hopefully) I'll be flying over to the U.S. to do my PhD and post doctoral research, after which I'm probably flying back to Singapore. By the time I'm done with everything I'm gonna be about 33 years old - way too old and over-qualified for most men's tastes, I should think (people here usually settle down early... Plus early menopause runs in my family, so I have to worry if I want children). And I'll probably be working my ass off in grad school to do much socializing, not to mention I'm going to be too poor to go out much too. Even if I do meet someone over there, it's gonna be hard to maintain the relationship because I have to come back eventually (I know my parents will want me to). Sigh. Well I've decided that if I do meet that special someone in the next couple of years, I will compromise a little and do my PhD locally, if not then I'm flying off and devoting my whole (single) life to psychology... That's why I said time is running out for me!

Funny... Ever since I remember (age 5) I dreamed about falling in love and being married... Sadly I was born with unique intelligence and to scientific parents. I know they love me and only wish and guard for my best, but some how pushed me into a career that I was really good at but never cared for, physics. I hardly tried to fit their dreams and wishes, I went to grad school. Along the path I abandoned most my dreams. I almost got my PhD, I was as miserable as you'd never imagine...I got severely depressed, agoraphobic, anxious, obsessive, barely sleep and starved... I finally realized it was their dream and not mine, this is my life and not their's. It's mine even to ruin. I realized it doesn't matter how smart you are but how happy and selffulfilled you feel. My smarts are not a waste, they're mine and they're mine to decide what to use it for.

The greatest thing of all that?? During my PhD I met a handsome, smart, loving, funny postdoctoral researcher whom I married!!

Enjoy your MAC goodies, hun! If you want the stuff that wasn't available in your country, I'm sure someone here will be glad to do a CP for you!
winks.gif

And yes I agree that it's totally terrible to do things when your heart is not in it, especially not grad school that is no joke at all! My mum has always forced me to do things which she thought were "right" for me, but I wasn't always happy with her choices. I've always wanted to be a professional singer, but my parents were totally against that. I still think they should've given me a little support there, but now I see that it's probably quite an unrealistic dream of mine. Thankfully I discovered psychology in university, and for once I've found something that I love so much I don't mind doing it all my life. The fact that I'm actually good at it is an added bonus. Even though my parents are not keen on me furthering my studies, I think I should go ahead and do what I really want to do for once. I know my mum is always asking me to consider other alternatives, but frankly, I can't think of anything else I'll want to do besides this. Maybe one day, when they see my success, they will feel proud of me for once...

Don't you hate it when the collection comes incomplete! It happened a lot for last year's collections at my counter! Will the missing items shipped later or they will not be coming in at all? Enjoy what you bought! Let me know how you find Gazette Grey.

You have gone through difficult time and I'm glad that you are now happy.

Winnie, I hope you can pursue your dreams. I'm a little older than you and I sort of understand what you are going through. I agree that settling down and having a family is part of the formula of "being successful in life" in our country.

Well, I'm still single and figuring out my life.

This collection was released at Robinsons MAC on Friday 7th!

i find that relationships are like buses

if you are waiting for one, eager to jump on the next one that comes you will be waiting a long time

but if you dont need one, or aren't impatiently looking for one right this second, loads will come

the more you stress winnie, the less likely it will happen

on another note, i have bought fold and tuck, coral crepe and instant chic, and i love them all

Yes it looks fabulous with purples!! Check out the swatch forum for this collection and find ashpardesi's swatches. It's on page 2. She has a BEAUTIFUL look with Coral Crepe and purple.

It's what made CC a must get for me!

As for wearing the p/p alone, it creased on me but I just put a thin layer of UDPP and it lasted all day with no creasing! I have super oily lids and this combo worked for me. HTH!!

no, def not alone
winkiss.gif
. I got Nars Gilda blush a week before this collex came out and I find the blushes in Pret-a-papier pale in comparison. Besides Gilda, I also already have Deep Throat and BB nectar shimmer brick. Don't even get me started on my pinky coral lipsticks, got a zillion of those too
tong.gif
. I might even skip the Beach or only get 1-2 items.

Yes, I hope I can pursue my dreams too, and not succumb to "tradition", although the pressure never ceases...

Yup, I saw in the newspaper that Robinsons had a launch event. Did you manage to go?
smiles.gif
I sure wished I was able to get out of the house to see the collection for myself though. Sigh.

I also have very oily lids, and I use Urban Decay Primer Potion under paint pots (or any other base I put on). This way my paint pots never crease on me.
