aradhana, what did you end up ordering?
nothing...yet!
i think i am going to get dusk (which i presume is pro?), but i have to wait till next week...(for financial reasons :)

the palette has delft, which i have in a pot, and don't really like much on myself. i wore it today to check if that was still true, and yep, it is...i had to cover it up with concrete and smut...

call me crazy, but i also don't like buying repeats of any of my products, so i usually pass on palettes that contain something i have already anyway. my one exception to that rule was knight divine, which was accidental, and the athma quad (folie + carbon) because i liked that i could have a basic eye look in one palette for travel.

do you use your colour products on yourself or on clients? it would be great to see some of your handiwork, since you seem to be very knowledgable about products and application techniques!

BU??

OMG...

It is really that gorg....??? Yeeeoooozzza!

I might BU the palette as I really like how well the shades perform. The texture feels firmer than p/p, but they blend much nicer. On the skin, it almost feels like a mixture between p/p and CCB. Lovely!
And yes, PS is absolutely stunning, especially for those taupe-fanatics.

Sweetie, I wish I had your resolve not to get any BUs.

I don't. I suck. I hoard MAC.

I only BU what I will use up. I don't believe in hoarding. Make up just goes bad after some time (depending on the product, we are talking anything between 6 month and a few years). But I know I will get a lot of use from the palette, especially SP and PS.

well, i really don't know how long i'm going to last, with mac-guy's swatches and descriptions of their awesomeness....
although i wish delft looked like that on my skin too! i think the yellow in my skintone just makes it blah...

three of the 6 colours look right up my alley, but....i'll just chatter with you guys about the products...live vicariously i guess!

oh, btw shellcat, thanks for your advice regarding depotting blushes! i didn't have any adult beverages on hand, but i managed to depot 10 out of 11 blushes without incident. (i guess i should have had that beverage for the perfect score!

sp, ps and bc look so good....and i love the libertine looks that were posted before...

if only i could get a palette and split it with someone who wanted the other three shades!

the amount of product seems good to me in terms of buying a shade for a season and then not having to worry about it spoiling...

Exactly. I hope MAC continues to produce the Pro palettes. Great idea to get a variety of shades that can be used up within one season.

LOL! no...

i just don't think i would use half the shades...i've kinda been trying to avoid purchases if possible since i bought so many items from the reel sexy / tres cheek / extra dim trifecta....i guess i'm holding out for hey sailor and some empty palettes when they come out.

i'd like to go through a lot of the things i have already, especially the cream/liquid items like lip glosses and lipsticks before i buy anymore. but i'm not sure it's physically possible. i think i might need to try and just get rid of the ones i just never wear anymore in favour of the more recent stuff.

how are you liking your palette? have you had a chance to play around with all the shades?

I bought the palette, but can't seem to get up early enough to play around with it yet.

I have to be at work at 7:15am, and usually sleep through my second snooze timer until I jump up and throw on the face in a rush. lol

This weekend I will for sure!

Love it. I already got deep dips in Smoked Paprika, Pepper-Salt, and Natural Fibre. The BU is already on its way to me.

It is truly gorgeous. I have it out on my counter and it keeps calling to me. But I want time to play around with it, so Friday I am breakin' it in!

i know what you mean...i've been meaning to do my nails in the purple nail polish from so reel for the past two weeks, and i still haven't gotten round to it...as for makeup i end up often just doing super simple looks with the same products most days during the week...no time!

do you use the colours straight-up or as bases? how do you use smoked paprika?
Both. The colors have enough sheen to work well on their own. It's a very easy way to achieve a great look without using too many extra products. The best of all is that I experience no creasing at all. Yippie!

I use Smoked Paprika and Delft on the lower lashline. Works like a charm.

I hope that MAC will release another palette in this formula. Whatever it is, I like it!

your descriptions are seriously tempting me...
but, gonna stay strong....
hopefully MAC will indeed release another one like this!
did you have the p/p delft too?
