Does anyone know how much the Pro x12 or Pro x24 holds? I'm considering melting some lipstick to streamline my kit...

Go for the 24 for lipsticks. Each well in the 24 will hold about 1/3 a full tube of lipstick one teaspoon) give or take. The 12 would be more for cream foundations. Each well of that would hold way more than one full lipstick. Those wells are HUGE!!! I'm gonna transfer my paintsticks into the 12 well.

I have become a tad addicted to depotting - it's so therapeutic! I kind of want to buy more e/s and blushes just to depot them, which makes no sense whatsoever

Can I mail mine all to you, you depot and mail back? I am almost serious about that, I get so paranoid with depotting, afraid I am going to ruin the precious.

I would genuinely do that - I have a system that works really well now! I haven't ruined any so far and I did 8 e/s and 6 blushes today :D

The last time I did any depotting was over a year ago, so I had to check youtube again to remind myself how! I ordered some sticky back magnets but they won't arrive until next week, so I nicked a load of small round magnets from the fridge on my house and uni and just stuck them on using the glue that's already on the pans, and then stuck the labels from the bottoms of the pots over that.

I had to use 3 little magnets for each blush pan though, so there are lot less magnets on the fridge than there used to be :p

And now I have enough empties for 3 B2Ms!

Just tell me the secret of not nicking the surface of the shadow. Do you use the heat technique with a candle/lighter or the alcohol to dissolve the glue?

I use my straighteners - I just place a piece of paper over the plate so that I don't get melted plastic on them!

Here's what I do:

1) Pop out the e/s insert from the pot using a metal nail file
2) Place the insert on the straighteners for about a minute or so
3) Check that the plastic at the bottom is soft, turn over the insert so it's e/s down, and press the pan partially out using the nail file
4) Using the nail file, pry the pan off the plastic completely and leave it gluey side up
5) Pop the insert back into the e/s pot, minus the pan
6) Stick a magnet onto the pan and clean the sides of any glue (I just use some crappy face wipes)
7) Place the e/s pot onto the straighteners
8) Wait until the glue under the name sticker is melted, then slide the nail file under the sticker to peel it off, then stick it on the bottom of the pan
9) Ta da! Eyeshadow depotted :D

I also like depotting and don't think it's that hard. You just need to be patient for the glue to melt and don't put too much pressure on the pan. I've never depotted blushes though, because I like them in the pots and it's easier when I just want to take one or two blushes with me.

Speaking of B2M how does it work in the UK? I'm going to London for 5 days around NYE and I might as well take my empties with me:)
