hey guys just depotted last night.... it is so much fun i'm hooked LOL..... anyone have any tips on organisation of the palettes, also any tips on labelling now that the lids are clear. tia
I take the stickers off the bottom of the depotted product and stick it on top of the magnet so I know what the color is. Most colors I know by site though. You can type up all the shadows you have in one palette by the order they are stored, print it and tape it to the bottom of the palette. That way, you can flip the palette over to see what's what. I found this on Pinterest and here is the link to the original site it's from http://www.makeupgeek.com/organization/how-to-organize-your-mac-eyeshadows/

after waiting for so long i have finally decided not to get the double. I have so much neutral shadows that i dont use that i plan on selling a couple and that should just narrow it down enough to fit them into a single palette without an insert
Palettes still sold out at my store. I hope they show up soon. I need to check online, but I like to spend a good amount of money at the stores so I can stay on their events list.

Thanks for all the help guys :) I managed to get 1 insert from my local store, order 2 palettes and another insert from another state now I need to call around other parts of aus for 6 more..... This is exhausting. I've decided I will depot all my quads and put my l/editions in palettes and any perms in the quads into my perm quads... Any thoughts on this?? Tia

I know this is NOT MAC palettes but I am wondering if the new MAC palettes are comparable to the new Sephora ones: NOTE: ALL PICS WERE TAKEN FROM SEPHORA WEBSITE.

UGH. There has got to be a way for me to get an old blush palette without paying $50 on eBay! I have 6 homeless MAC blushes looking for a home right now!

When are the new palettes coming out? I am just starting my MAC e/s collection. I seriously NEED a palette! I want to depot my shadows asap. I'm a late MAC bloomer. I have just been buying whatever looks great and that sucks when I end up wasting so much money on stuff I never use.

I know. I want one so bad. Actually I need 2. I am wondering if I really need the insert because so many ppl don't use them. I definitely want to keep my eyeshadows safe but if I really don't need an insert I'd rather spend that money toward getting another palette. If all else fails I'll buy a Z palette

Today, I snapped. I looked in my eyeshadow drawer and couldn't take it anymore. So I popped my depotting cherry.

For my freelancing kit, I've always used the palettes. I would just get the regular pots of e/s for my personal use. It was always easy to distinguish my personal products from my freelance products that way. But I'm just so sick of digging through that drawer looking for a specific color I want to wear, so it's palette time for my personal shadows too! I still have to get magnets, but at least I know I can depot them successfully now that I've made the attempt. And wow, that glue is a pain to rub off the bottom of the pan sometimes!

Anyway, as much as I love that the new palettes have clear lids so that it looks all pretty, it does make labeling a bigger nuisance. I'm planning on doing what I see has already been suggested: printing a chart of what's in each palette and taping it to the back of the case. I'm one of those people who needs all my colors labeled, so that's gotta happen one way or another! I'll have to be sure to get really good magnets though if I'm going to be flipping the palette over again and again to check on a color's location. I mean, most colors I know by sight, but sometimes I just have to double check with certain shades. I swear, I have to double check everything.

I'm holding off on depotting any more e/s until the palettes are back in stock. And although I don't like that the palette and the insert come separately now, I'll have to get the inserts too. I'm OCD or whatever you want to call it about everything having its place (which is why it's amazing I've kept a drawer full of probably 100 individual e/s for so long!)
