So I picked up the PLW concealer at my mac counter in the mall I work at since Old Navy is just an escalator away from Mac
yahoo.gif

Anyhoot, I told her I was looking for an under eye concealer and she asked my skin type (oily). She recommended this one. She applied it on and it looked quite nice. However, I'm going to test it out more today and applied with one of my 10 tools (fingers!). I'm scared to make a big pump of product because I don't want to waste any (lol). She gave me NW25. I asked her what color I would be in Mac foundations and she said NC35 incase that helps anyone?

I'll make sure to test it out well today and give you guys an update

I'm already pretty pleased with the price since you get more product for your money compared to the other ones they sell. And cost the same price!

I'll get Overtime, Till Tomorrow & Faithfully Yours next

I tried the same lipstick colors on yesterday as the ones you bought. I liked them both but then tried unlimited on the top lip and perpetual flame on the bottom and rubbed my lips together and it made an awesome 3rd lipcolor that lasted all day. The 2 are pretty on their own but for the cost, I had a beautiful 3rd color as well.

You might want to check out the NW25 concealer - from what my MA was telling me, she prefers to recommend NW for concealer, even on women who use NC foundation, since it color corrects dark circles better - sure worked for me!

She was also the one who convinced me to go NW20 in the concealer when I use NC15 foundation, to help the puffy bags recede - that was a great trick.

The only drawback is I think the NC15 concealer would have been better for me if I was just using it for covering up some dark spots while skipping foundation, but I only have a couple dark spots so it's not a huge deal - the eye bags are the bane of my existence though. Every morning it's Battle of the Bags, so the concealer trick made me happy.

Well, I don't have 'flawless' skin but I just hate the feel of foundation on my skin

I don't have many Chanel skin prods.. they don't seem to work on me as well as my other prods... I don't have flawless skin either but I wish that I did. In fact, I don't know, or have ever seen anyone with really flawless skin (no makeup!)

Bobbi Brown used to make a very light pink concealer/highliter (it had some sheen in it) - and that was marvelous. I am holding/hoarding it since it was discontinued cause they gave too much in the big pots

.. now it comes in a skinny butt click pen

So, I'm back and a lot poorer than I was when I woke up this morning. However, I still have more than enough for VV Tuesday. Anyway can I just say that I think Mac has got it right this time? Seriously. I am loving this new foundation right now. I took the mua aside and I found it funny that she was having a hard time matching me. Even I could see the ones she was reaching for were off. She tried NC43 then NW whatever. Finally she got around to NC50 and it was perfect.

What I like is that it applies smoothly. I don't need to mix in moisturizer like I do with my beloved mufe hd (which applies a little thick I guess because it has more coverage). This PL also gave me a satin finish that made me look fresh (that's always sexy). Then I inquired about the concealer. She told me that for a concealer for blemishes and the undereye, I should go with studio sculpt. She said the new one is fine, but studio sculpt takes less product to get the coverage I may want. I dunno, but she tried it on me and I was impressed. It doesn't illuminate the undereye like my mufe hd concealer, but it definitely made the bags less severe.

I want to say that I don't have bad skin at all. It's dry, I have eczema, but my complexion is pretty even and my skin is still smooth (even though I am quickly approaching 29!). I do, however, have laugh lines that are now bothersome. I have to keep my foundation out of there! I walked around with PL in the mall and gave it a spin. It takes my skin less than an hour to reject a product. After about 45 minutes I went right back and bought it. I also bought studio sculpt concealer.

Now that I'm home I see that SC concealer has spf35 and that worries me a bit. I applied some to my face before realizing that and I don't know if it's in my mind, but I think I feel a tingle. I shall see. I do know, however, that this foundation isn't irritating me at all. If I go out tomorrow, I will do the PL foundation and my mufe concealer to be sure.

The mua put on a light layer of foundation, didn't set it and she only really applied it to either side of my face and still I was impressed. It looks great up close in my bathroom mirror and in pics I have taken. Maybe I'll post one. I think this foundation will kick some major ass when I do it up the way I do. I'm excited. Sorry about the long post, but I hope it helps other people who have had bad luck with Mac foundations. Give this one a try. If my opinion changes, I'll be sure to post it, but I think I'm in the clear.

At first, I was going to get Truth and Light and then I decided not to get either one. Now, you've got me thinking. I am so easily persuaded.

Oh and about the new lippies: didn't work for me. I just wasn't feeling it. Didn't care for the texture, colors were underwhelming in person. I didn't feel the love and so my money went elsewhere.

So true. You have such good advice.

But, before I make any kind of routine, I need to figure out my skin type, because I am clueless.

'Just to toot my horn for nostalgia's sake....I had retardedly gorgeous skin in my late teens/early 20's - porcelain white with rosy cheeks and lips and not a pore in sight. I look at my old college pictures and have to do a double take, lol.

Glad to hear you have told those circles and puffs to take a hike!

Bags just run in our family on both sides, so it was only a matter of time before they decided to stay - plus I had a terrible flu this year that made my eyes swell up horribly like a monster, and the skin just couldn't handle it and never managed to snap back, so yeah - thrilled with this concealer

... but I don't have genetic circles or bags... my mother is 79 and has almost flawless skin, no bags or circles and very few lines. If she wasn't my mother, I would hate her

Question, love. Someone said that using this powder is a pain because of the liquid feel. So, does that mean I will have to use my setting powder and then this powder? I'm just trying to get clear. Please be patient with me. I have never been so confused by a product.
