MAC Slimshine Discussion

i was at the bay in calgary about 2.5 weeks ago, and slimshines were already out! the MUA told me they were now permanent. picked up 2 back-ups of bare

Im so happy they are coming back!!! i bought pink d'lush and i wore it for work a few times [when i worked] and it stayed on for AGES and really moisuturised my lips. Il deffo pick a couple of others up when they come out.

Bare & Long Stem Rose were two of my favs. I think I bought about 7 with back ups of Bare. I really like Pink D'Lush too. Really liked the Slimshines

Now, I have another question, though. This may sound dumb, but if they are slimshines, how can some be matte?

I'm excited to see these in person. I'm not sure how deep the tone would be, but I really want to see that Voile canary yellow colour! (prob not buy it, just see the swatch!)

After searching through last years Slimshine swatch thread I'm thinking I want Lovey Dove, Ultra Elegant and maybe Bare or Funshine. I'm still a pretty timid lipstick wearer, no reds or browns YET!

I missed these the first time around, but am looking forward to trying them. So are they a somewhat sheer matte? I read above that they wear a long time. If so, that sounds great.

they are perm. no doubt about it.

and, voile is not a matte. it is a frost. all the slimshines are either a cream or a frost.

I'm really excited for these. I only got one last time aroune - Most Wanted. This time I'll probably get Rock Out, Grenadier, and Bare (even though it's a repromote). I'm interested to see how Voile will look, though. I just may have to get that for toning down some of my brights.

it is a soft yellow with gold. it is very light and sheer. i didn't try any of them on, but one of the trainers tried that one on. it gives a very slight hint of yellow gold to the lips. you know how springbean looks like honey on the lips? its kinda gives that type of look, with a very subtle yellow hue.

Heehee! Me too! I missed out on them during the first round, so now I have oodles of time to pick them up! And since I am such a picky lip color person, it gives me more time to view swatches and play with them!

I bougth Most wanted and Lovey dovey when they came out. Most wanted felt like a super shiney version of "O". I loved it. Lovey dovey is good for an NW20 girl like me.

My lips are very full so slim lipsticks are not my fav. I use a concealer brush as a lipbrush. lol

I just realised that pink dlush and kissable won't be re-released. Those are the two that i wanted to try.

I would rather see the Mattenes be made perm too, but only if they came out with some softer colors. I still have my Slimshines from last time. I like them okay but just never use them for some reason.
