yeah i kinda thought this would be the case..but didn't want to jinx ya..It is going around here in Dallas...I hope you feel better soon....at least once you get on meds you can get some pretty quick relief. So see the 28th was perfect for you....

Yeah I know cause if they released it this week than my ass would have been going in there in my pj's with a face mask on and gloves, and possibly a wheelchair due to extreme fatigue lol... Yeah I have antibiotics now so I should be good within the next day or 2. I had a feeling though that's what it was..But now with all this talk of Eversun and Refined Golden...hmmm maybe add to list?! lol

Decisions, decisions. I adore BPB and Eversun looks so lovely.
Right now my budget prefers Refined Golden or Eversun and not getting both but I could skip other things.

Well you can do one or the other since people have found dupes for Eversun, but if you love BPB go with Eversun. Refined Golden is always around so you never have to worry about that going away!

Well look at this way....Refined Golden is Perm...just not in SW packaging...You can get it later
Or if you get Refined Golden you can get Gingerly blush later...Sunbasque is close but Gingerly is more spot on because it is more matte like Eversun and you dont have the shimmer over shimmer effect that Sunbasque will give you...Even Peachtwist is close without the shimmer .. However I swatched Gingerly and it was almost to close to call

So I finally went to have a look at SW, and wasn't too wowed, but still ended up with a few things!
I swatched both Sun Rush and Pink Rebel l/d's, and ended up with Pink Rebel. Sun Rush was too "yellow" on my skin (olive fyi) and Pink rebel was a soft glowy slightly goldish pink sheen. The lustre drops are quite subtle imo.
I also got On A Mission, ultimately the lure of a plum blush was just too much for me to resist! It is really pretty, but as so many others have mentioned, a basic straight up plum.
The lipsticks - Originally I was set on Purple rite, but eventually talked myself out of it, as I don't often wear purple lippies. I didn't bother to swatch it today *is proud* but it really is a pretty colour.
Sunsational is very pretty. I got this one, even though it's a glaze. I think it'll look great on its own with some natural lip colour showing through, and definitely over other l/s. I guess calling it a gold version of bubbles is pretty accurate, but this has a much creamier texture, and I personally like it soooo much better.
My surprise purchase was Brave New Bronze, i didn't try it on, but swatched it and it was lighter than some of the swatches on here appear. It's a satin, so the coverage is great, basically what I wanted so many other lipsticks similar in colour to be, but they are always lustres. It also looked really pretty topped with Sunsational.
So that's all I ended up with! Not too bad i guess. I had Gold Rebel l/g on my list as a definite before I went, but upon seeing it, really didn't care for it. I'll report back when I've actually tried everything on!
Oh, and I need the 109! I'll wait till F&F!

Honestly, Eversun has a tendency to look too orange on me, being somewhat fair and I also need to use a really light hand with it. Refined Golden is a great bronzer!

I look forward to Mac's summer collections every year - Moonbathe and Neo Sci fi are 2 of my favorite collections and I still get alot of use out of both. So far Style Warriors has been underwhelming. I've tried a few products and here are my first impressions.
Soft Focus e/s - it's a veluxe pearl so the payoff and texture are awesome but the color reminds me of Magic Dust, Pollen,etc. Nothing unique about this.
Purple e/s (can't think of the name) - very nice summer color. Pinky/purple withoout being too pink or too purple (does that make sense)
Tempting e/s - I had this already. Gorgeous color, very versatile. It's a luster but it applies much better than the typical luster finishes.
On a Mission blush - undecided about this one. It's pretty but reminds me of Stark Naked w/o as much frost.
Brave New Bronze l/s - not bronze at all. More of a peachy color. Nothing unique about this, I think Mac has colors like this in the permanent line. I don't find it to be flattering on me. Probably returning this.
Coral l/g (can't remember name) - nothing special about this. I'm sure I have something similar.
Purple Rite - nice pop of colors for the lips. Very nice summer color. I'm very much a neutral, nude, peach lippie girl and I am keeping this so the color isn't too intense.

The Refined Golden packaging is too gorgeous to skip for me so I will choose RG and not Eversun. I don't like to have too shimmery blushes because I like to add shimmer with a MSF or Shimmer Brick over the blush when I want shimmer and keep it matte if not.
I will get a refill of one of the perm dupes of Eversun later.

So I ordered my Style Warrior today - that would be Bright Future eyeshadow. That's it (and one perm item - Ample Pink Plushglass, which I have been wanting for months). Also ordered some CP items (On a Mission BPB and Pink Rebel Lustre Drops) for my girl Moxy.
As much as I adore the packaging of this collection, I just really can't justify making a large purchase. I'm cool with it. I really want to book an overseas holiday before the end of the year and given my budget lately, don't really want or need to spend money I don't have.
I am indeed enjoying vicarious thrills through y'all, though. This collection is beautiful and you lovelies are rocking it!

Style Warriors is finally here. Of course, now that its here my excitement has died down. TYPICAL.
Also, I semi hate animal print (except on a RARE occasion) so I kinda didnt realize I was going to HATE the packaging. Luckily, everything I got did not have that on it! I already threw away the animal print boxes.
Anyway, I do love my products I bought and in MY opinion what I bought were really the stand outs for ME! Meaning my taste and for my skin tone, we have to remember everything looks different on different skin tones! That is what is so great about MAC, it really is for everyone!

- Soft Force eye shadow, a buttery, soft, light champagne color
- Night Manuevers eye shadow, This is not getting enough love from other people, for ME this is the perfect brown, I like cool browns more than warm so this is right up my alley. It is a sheer buildable shade, which I like because I can determine the intensity.
- Pink Rebel Lustre Drops, love in a bottle. I will need to pick up the other colors of this.
- Scatterrays Solar Bits, LOVE this, I do not find it as chunky as other people, this is a less orange melon pigment. Super frosty and metallic, I quite like the application of this.
- Impassioned Solar Bits, See above. This looks like liquid Satin Taupe eyeshadow, highly metallic, wonderful cool brown again.
- Mercenary Nail Polish, new favorite nailpolish, looks like liquid copper, so shimmery. Not sparkly, shimmery.

What I skipped and Why:
- Lipsticks, well I only like nudes and they had one nude, Brave New Bronze...I was excited for this but EW. Too dark and brownish peach on my hand. I did not swatch yet on my lips because I was really scared away by the darkness of it. I hated it actually. Good, better for my wallet! Although I think this would be great for brunettes!
- Beauty Powder Blushes, they are VERY pigmented and look to be of GREAT quality. I gravitate towards pinky blushes, not peach and mauves so this is why I skipped. I will go back and test On a Mission though. Could be great for a subtle blush!
- Bright Future and Vibrant grape shadows, I thought for sure I would be buying the Vibrant Grape, it was too pinky red of a purple. Did not call out to me. I liked Bright Future but I dont wear yellow shadows.
- Bronzers, might go back for that, not a must have, will look at Refined Golden as Solar Riche is a bit too orangey for me.
- Violet Fire and Peaceable Nail polish.. very dupable.
- Lipglasses...whatever!

I don't know what is nagging me about this collection. I was on the fence with a list, then off the fence with an edited list, and now I just can't bring myself to submit my order. sheesh!
so far what has stayed is BNB, Gold Rebel, and both bronzers mainly for the packaging as I already have RG from NeoSciFi.
I was going to get Vibrant Grape, but it's not quite the purple I have in mind and I know I just won't use the lustre drops.
Back on the fence I go!
